@ yes, that is a consideration for sure; Jodi Roebuck makes several mentions of it in this series. I used to do pretty much everything by hand, but getting older and upscaling, the machines are becoming essential to integrate into operations. 👍
@@davidmgilbreath insect net is good for both. Takes the sting out of the sun. Excellent for new transplants. Jodi or Curtis to my knowledge (total fanboy) the length of beds. For me that is 12 meters. I use row covers weedmat with planting holes burned in and irrigation tubing. All come in 25, 50, or 100 meters rolls I have no waste of the both horrible and useful plastic fantastic 👍

Been mulling over why the 30inch beds would be a standard; finally measured the gap between the tractor tires. 😅
It's also very ergonomic for people of average stature to reach across to straddle and migrate over low growing crops without compaction

@@larwho thanks for the tip; last year did not use row covers of any kind - between insect pressure, and the Texas sun, things did not go well.
