  • This time we tell the truth about the Canopy Camper, its amazing for camping adventures, but there is an issue. The Inside of the Canopy Camper has limits and in this video we will look at the interior design that was well planned and thought through with the remit designed for a long term living space and talk you through the reasons behind the choices. Storage was not the priority on this build and we go through what the inside can do for real.

I am in the middle of designing my own interior buildout for my Alu-Cab. Space is at the premium, but on top of that is weight! And the distribution of that weight also an important consideration. The truck still needs to drive nice and mostly level.

I too did my own design build interior, the heavy drawer units are up against the bull head and I built storage systems over the wheel wells that have a top to use for sitting and then raise up to access the storage, got it very well balanced

Many of the Alu Cab Canopy Campers shown on youtube are located in cool or cold climates. I live in a tropical region with high humidity 70-100% and temperatures 30-34 celsius. Your design caters for both hot and cold conditions and the styling is top notch with clean lines and quality materials.

I'd love to see someone come-up with a layout/solution for reaching the fridge both from inside the camper and from outside the camper. I hate the idea of having to climb into the camper every time I wanted to grab a cold one or if I forget the butter. Putting the fridge in the truck's back seat solves that issue, but then it's inaccessible from inside the camper during inclement weather, etc.

This is why we have two… the main 75L in the camper and a small 20L powered by the trucks built in inverter in the back seat…. Absolutely necessary lmao 🤣 🤣🤣
