Drift, oak logs that cook other oak logs turn into charcoal......which can replace coal for torches and campfires and will be much more efficient than any amount of planks or straight logs.....plus, it's renewable~
another great video! i’d be curious to see you try a challenge where you build outside of your comfort zone. that means no spruce lol. i really liked your more industrial builds for the cozy survival world and i’d also love to see you work your magic with terra cotta and other materials!
What a fantastically adorable island. I tend to find vanilla textures a little bland (in no small part because I mostly use my personal texture pack), but the tradeoff there is that I can't use the many Chisel/Chipped type texture variant mods because they look so jarring compared to my textures. it's always nice to live vicariously through someone who makes such effective and beautiful use of them in my place

Its a long process but it would help your cozy looks. Get the chisel and bits mod. And take time to learn it too. It is confusing and time consuming but it makes builds look 50x better.
you can make an easy villager farm by making a 9 by 9 farm patch with wheat, 2 composters so the 2 villagers will become farmers and harvest the wheat, and a path of opened trapdoors leading to a bunch of beds, the villagers will mate, the kids will run to the beds, fall through the trapdoors
The island ended up being a true cozy cottagecore place, but i missed a little lake. Even though an island is, by definition, surrounded by water, as it is highly elevated from the ocean, i think a lake would do just nice somewhere near a house. Maybe then one of our little guys would finally become a fisherman without any problem 😂😂

Watching people using easy villagers grab the nitwit without realizing it is always a highlight to me. Also, several times I saw an enderman teleport out of one of your builds holding a block, and every time I went "oh no, she didn't spot the theft".
