@@samsansalone hi.. N which areas Appartment is safe for family which want to come there What about the pre-school for pre schoolers... Do u have any idea ? Please reply ☺️
I used to live in THE most affordable neighborhood in Norfolk, and Virginia Beach was just across the street 😄 Such was my time growing up in the 'hood 😎
Great insight into this area. And nice to know there is some affordable housing in attractive neighborhoods. You couldn't buy an outhouse for those prices where I live haha!
+Palm Beaches Paul lol! Well most of the neighborhoods here still have most priced over $150k, which is why I like these neighborhoods - if you can get one lower-prices in here you’re scoring big time!
I consider light rail to be a plus rather than a negative -- even if you don't use it yourself, it removes a lot of traffic off the roads in your neighborhoods. However, if you can commute by light rail--you could save a lot of money on transportation costs.
+John Hamilton very true. There are definitely two camps here, some are totally against it. Mainly those who are used to not having it and have lived in a space without it. The change and additional foot traffic can be bothersome to some.
I sure hope so. There are so many areas to sort through and if you're trying to move on a short time frame my hope is that this sort of video can help streamline the process.
In my opinion you do get decent value around Tanners Creek, but it depends on the street. You're close to I-64 which is a bummer aesthetically and noise-wise. But there are some spots where the prices are lower and might be a good fit for some people. Brambleton is a lot busier as it's close to downtown Norfolk. So if you're planning to live on Brambleton you'll be expecting a lot of traffic. If you're wanting to be close to downtown you might find that area to work well, just depends on where on Brambleton, since it's a long street.
Hi. We are a military family getting orders to Norfolk. We don't want to live in military housing, we want to rent a house with a decent fenced in yard. Can you recommend some SAFE AREAS, with not so much flooding please?
would be great if you could do a college addition. moving to Va for school at EVMS. what would be a good location for rental and least likely to flood.
That's a great idea! I'll do my best on that specifically. If you have any questions I can answer directly in the meantime, feel free to reach out. My contact info is in the pinned comment description.
Great question! First of all, the answer is yes and no haha. Yes, because it can snow here on occasion. But normally it happens either once a year or once every other year. And the amount is anything from a dusting to 4-6 inches. If we get 4-6 inches everyone freaks. So we're definitely not considered a snowy area!

This is such a great idea for a video, people definitely need to know what neighborhoods are affordable.
Thanks, Angela! I hope this helps people, especially the people who've never been here before.
Norfolk Looks Nice Sam ! Glad there are affordable homes there !
I lime your videos. But, I don't think the Wards Corner area gets enough shine. Specifically, the neighborhoods on both sides of Newport Ave.
