If it's not mentioned in the Quran or Hadith, is it halal?

- The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whatever Allaah has permitted in His Book is halaal, whatever He has forbidden is haraam, and whatever He was silent about is pardoned, so accept the pardon of Allaah, for Allaah was not forgetful."
Then he recited this verse: ‘and your Lord is never forgetful’ [Maryam 19:64].”
So does that mean, anything that's not mentioned in the Quran or Hadith is halal?! No, not really...

Assalam aleykum akhie. How do we put ask questions to shaykh Aziz bin farhan or other mashayikh that you know? Baraak Allah feek

Don't forget about the music. The music fans keep asking where's the word music in the Qur'an, there is none therefore music is mubah or halal.
They want the word ''Musiqo'' not ''Lahwal Hadits'' that is mentioned in the Chapter Luqman verse 6.
Why music is haram? The word music is not even in the Qur'an, they want to understand it quickly without trying to put an effort to study that verse.
While I'm at it, Sheikh Ahmed An-Najmi said that Nasheed is also HARAM because Nasheed is from the Sufi.
Some rainbow fans even said rainbowism is halal. These people twist ayaah and ahadith to suit their agenda
"it's halal until proven otherwise" - Sheikh Assim
You mean there is a difference from what shaykh faris said?
What sheikh assim said was regarding food, it's halal until proven otherwise not regarding cigarettes and drug or other intoxicants.
Don't take knowledge from a celebrity Sheikh such as Assim Al Hakeem, he is upon Ikhwani Manhaj, making fun and joking about Islam along side Mufti Menk, Nouman Ali Khan, Yusuf Estes, Hamza Yusuf, Yasir Qadhi, Omar Sulaiman, Mohammed Hijab, Ali Dawah, Uthman Ibn Farooq, Zakir Naik and many more.
