They were going to have Snug be a more prominent character that they kill off to show the 'cost of being a hero' but cut him because it would have taken up too much screen time.

As someone who works with babies and toddlers up to two, I’ve never heard any of them say me. And when they do, it’s not unprompted like this, it’s not knowing they can answer a question with “me” like that. Usually, like with food, if I ask “who wants more food”, the babies who want more will just say “more!” And it usually sounds like “moe!” Or they just do the ASL sign for more. They don’t have that self awareness, they’re practically two and they’re just learning to point at themselves and say their own names. This fully conscious baby is truly way more self aware than most babies, especially to say ‘me’ so clearly with the hand raise. It’s truly, truly wild.

This was because some superheroes just don’t fly. If you ever take a look at the movie and you’ll watch the fuselage go down in the water, you will watch Mrs. Parr swim down after it until there’s a burst of electrical showing that it blew up.
