I love McDermott. Brilliant guy.
I like him a lot too, but in big games he has a history of blowing it. He's a HORRIBLE game manager when the pressure is high. His post season record points to this, without a doubt. The thirteen second debacle was inexcusable, and the most recent "big disappointment" of NOT running the ball and forcing KC to use at least one, and possibly two, of their last two time outs and run the clock out late in the game last month? Brilliant? Hardly. The statistics say no.

Blitzing Russell Wilson with the game on the line was not brilliant
@@JoawMebs-im6ix Despite McDermott keeping the game close even though he had a ton of defensive injuries and the offense playing like crap. One play not working out perfectly is hardly on the defense if the offense squandered every opportunity and had eight consecutive back to back drives.

Seans best trait is calling the defense. He needs to keep doing it. Hes the mike McDaniels of defense. Hopefully brady can be a star.
For once I agree with Dan, Sean loved holding his own mic! LOL All that happened this season, the one that rubbed me the wrong way constantly was people saying Sean had to go, he was leaving, going to get fired etc. He's a great coach, he's built a superb culture in the Bills/Buffalo. I'd say there was a zero (0) chance the Pegula's would let him go!! Just look at the way other teams act and carry themselves! I'm so proud of our team, players, coaches, fans, owners! It just doesn't get better than this! Sure it would be nice to get a SB win, but our NFL experience is the best in the league!! GO BILLS!!! 8) --gary
I really appreciate you asking Sean about rookies Mike. It's another super popular misconception about Sean. White, Jones, Dawkins & Milano all started games in 2017. Allen and Edmunds both started almost every game they were in, in 2018. Oliver, Ford, Singletary, and Knox all started games in 2019. The list goes on. It's an easily disprovable fact, but a talking head here or there mentions it, and now the entire herd is repeating the bad take.
Similar to how the Bills Mafia fan podcasters were all suggesting that the famously aggressive play calling McDermott was forcing Frazier and then Dorsey to play call conservatively.
