Equally divide a Curve in Dynamo

Thank you, very instructive content. But I don't get the meaning of code block number 0..1..#number. Could you shortly explain?

You are welcome, if you check around 3:00, I am showing the difference between the node Curve.PointAtParameter and the node Curve.PointAtSegmentLength, where the code block 0..1.."#number" is used to get an equal percentage division to place points using the node Curve.PointAtParameter..Hope it makes sense to you now.
