@@wwe8620 not by the voters. I think that is the point they were making. Someone got voted in by the voters. The party then went to them and threatened to remove them from office unless they stepped down. They stepped down “voluntarily”. Therefore the party chose the candidate, not the voters.
If there was no sexism or racism in this country, the fact that we will elect the first black woman wouldnt be historic. The fact that it is a huge deal shows the work we as a society need to do toward eliminating these prejudges.

This is the first time in my life that I have EVER donated to a political candidate. I’m doing a recurring weekly donation of $10, it’s the first time since Obama ran that I’ve felt inspired enough to do so. But I didn’t view anyone Obama ran against as a huge threat.
