As a Serb I can tell most people in Serbia are quite united in the sentiment to the 'civil war' in Yugoslavia. For us the war was simply our attempt to get out of any association with Muslims and Croats. Why live in the same house with people who sent our great grandparents to death camps. We will never forget especially the Croats, who got all the rights and privileges in our country of Yugoslavia. Something they didn't have almost 1000 years under Hungary.

Serbians lost civil war in Yugoslavia. Many people who were just serving in military got accused for war crimes, as a method of pressure from winners. Some places it got so ridiculous, that, if you weren't accused for war crimes, that meant you were no man, and didn't fight for your side but hid instead...

Everybody lost that damn war, that’s the thing about the Balkans everyone is either evenly matched or has links to a foreign power with interests in the area so nobody can ever really win

Not really croatian serbs lost, bosnian serbs won. Serbia (Yugoslavia) itself was active just in 1991 . 1992 only local serbs defended themselves

If that's the case why half of Bosnia is under the rule of the bosniak Serbs and soon will be independent?

@@pinetreecrafts5435 why isn’t it independent already? Exactly 🙄 also Bosnian Serbs have always loved there it’s not like anything changed but either way the original comment is incorrect it’s not just the Serbs who lost EVERYONE lost that’s the problem with wars in the Balkans, people are so evenly matched and they so many people have interests there that nobody can truly win an armed conflict
