The point of connection ( Creating a safe healthy married life )
❤️Connecting is in our nature.
When we are connected with our loved ones we feel fully alive.
❤️How is connecting effected ?
❤️Anxiety : it causes us to turn inward and isolate
📍Self Absorption : we shut down and become aware of only what’s happening inside us. We are then cut off from the world and the people we love. So without information coming from outside we construct other people as we need them to be. And then we expect them to feel like us. And when they resist we try to force them to meet our expectations.
📍Objection to Difference : this is a fundamental human problem and fearing each other they no longer read each other’s inner world and connecting is impossible.
📍 Absence of Empathy: wheb we cannot feel the emotional state of others, we cannot connect with them, not they with us. Without receiving data from the other, we lose the capacity to feel their things. This dehumanizes them, in our thinking and we turn them into “objects”.
📍The rise of Objectification: when we transform a person into an object, we can treat them however we want. We assign expectations to them and inflict punishments if they don’t comply. But everyone specially our partners resist being objectified. So we move into a power struggle which can last a lifetime.
📍The quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives
📍Ways two people can create safety in space between involves three practices

I feel like in married life mother in law plays important role. She tries to control daughter in law esp in the beginning of marrige. Even with living separate there is some interference which effects the relationships. The relationship with mother in law is usually fear based even if husband is a good person.
Agre. My mother in law still controlling. It's been 18 months to my marriage . She lives with us

میری شادی کو 31ہوگئے ۔ لیکن میرے شوہر کے میرے مزاج میں بہت زیادہ فرق ہے لیکن شوہر کا انتہائی بد مزاجی نہ صرف میرے ساتھ بلکہ دیگر افراد سے سے بھی ہے میں نبھائے کی کوشش کرتی رہی لیکن اب برداشت ختم ہوگئی بچے بھی تنگ اچکے میں نے ایک فیصلہ کیا ان سے بات چیت ترک کردی ہے ایک گھر میں رہتے ہوئے بھی اجنبی ہیں لیکن میں چاہتی ہیں کہ معاملات درست ہو جائیں لیکن میں ب بس ہوں سمجھ نہیں آتی کیسے کروں
