I'd be interested to see you remake this trailer a year from now to show how things progress.
I love this idea!
I think even redoing it every 4 months with the state of the art could be mindblowing!
Yes me too, currently it's pretty crap.
I mean it's incredible
But there's other things you could've spent the same amount of your time on and made it much better than it was, nice as a test, and I've learnt it's nowhere near what I'm looking for
Thanks
I'll stick with sdxl
Kinda feels like next year he can just go from the prompt to the full movie? 🍿
The question then is would people still watch original movies then?

That's what an AI would say...
@@K.D._Dilli❤Lol I was just about to say That!!😂❤
Yeah sure 🤖
As if I wouldn't notice a bot when I see one
How can we be certain?
I love seeing how many skills you've grown for yourself -- image/video/audio generation... but as you've made trailer after trailer, and everything else you've made for your channel, you're really grasping the points of what makes a good video (the composition, consistency, etc) -- and you're great at teaching it all.
This is why Matt is the best. He breaks it down. Clean footage, no rambling. A Pro!
A couple of years from now, you will just type a prompt and be able to watch your own custom movie.
Yep and we can make the exact kind of movie we want without any of the woke. Can't wait!!
You won't need to write anything...
Big corp already lobbying to bypass AI safety rules. They will find a way to stop you from creating too much as well.
I know it sounds and looks like this will be the way things go but I don't think it is going to be that simple.
AI can do some amazing things, do not get me wrong. We can all agree that it is only going to get more and more stunning as time moves on. But... AI so far has not done a fantastic job at really cracking down and accurately representing human emotion. Things like camera shots, lighting, and all that fun jazz will be something the AI can and will learn. But for it to get into the emotional gritty side of what makes us human, I don't see that happening well. I think that may be a point where we draw the line.
AI is going to take us in some fairly amazing directions and at the end of the day I do not think it is fair to assume it will outright replace the human element or touch. I can absolutely see this becoming a trend method for creators to make "proof of concepts" or "ai movie channels" on RUclips, but I do not see it being able to outright replace the entire film industry. Granted I could be completely wrong and in a few months or years we could see the end of the entire film industry but eh, I can't see the future. We shall see how well this comment ages in the years to come.
No that's not going to happen,
I REALLY appreciate how you take the time to show and explain every part of the process. SO helpful. Bravo!

YESS! You made the video I requested! Thanks Matt! Love your content! Please post more!
Wow. I’ve been watching your channel for a while now and just noticed your subscriber count is massive. Congratulations. Well deserved.
Mind-boggling ... Thank you so much for doing ALLLLL this AI stuff
I love what you do Matt and especially your enthusiasm. What a time to be alive!!
I always read that in the Two Minute Papers guy's voice😅

Hello Matt. I've actually been working on a 1 hour animated movie using this same method and my original story, and it's nice to see your video covering this topic. I was initially going to do it without the additional animation, but I think I might consider that.
When it comes to the image with two Leonardo diCaprio's in one image, you can correct that using Adobe's Generative Fill in Photoshop or on their website.
When can we see it?
❤ Looking forward to seeing what you are working on!!
Where would I be able to go see your work please?!!❤
When is this out? On your channel?
Thanks so much for your interest mate. Considering my current progress, in 4 weeks. Weekend before Christmas hopefully. Yes it'll be on my channel.@@CartoonrBOY
@@jsl6155 In about 4 weeks hopefully. Hopefully it's good enough lol.
It seems like a good starting point to create a trailer demo, considering the details that can be implemented in the further production process, the actors involved, and a proper VFX studio. This would be a massive help to enhance the project later. I anticipate that within two years, it will be fully capable of using full-motion capturing or deep fake methods that won't unveil the AI's synthetic nature. For now, more work is needed to make all these details more realistic and leave the audience totally shocked and not even suspicious about the AI generator technique used for a trailer or short movie. Well, big thumbs up for a good try, but still need some serious upgrades and improvements from a professional standpoint.
Have you done anything with AI and VR/AR? I think that is where a lot of this is going, whether it is for video games or just sitting in Holodeck like environment that has an immersive world that is literally generated in real time. It will be amazing when we reach that point.
Full dive VR !
I love how excited you get when you are creating. Great info and lots of fun!!
Fascinating stuff. Just a few months ago, people laughed at the thought of high quality videos from text, but it's clear we're not that far off
Whoa! Thanks so much for the feature! ☺️
You know it will be good when it starts with "In a world...."
With this whole AI revolution, I feel a bit guilty to admit it but, I’m most excited about the new gen video games 😅
Your comment reminded me that I recently played a game called Thunder Ray (it's basically in in the style of the old Nintendo game Punchout) before I saw this video. The voice over for the trainer character, was smooth but very stiff, not in a bad voice actor way, more like the TTS way. After seeing the trailer for the game and this video, I'm convinced they used AI.
Awesome Video Thank you Matt,I love you "Geeking Out" about the AI World!!
Yes, storytellers/filmmakers will have work for at least 20 more years in the filmmaking industry.
Loving the channel bud! Keep them coming!!!
I just made my first trailer using like nine different AI tools from audio to image to video, last year I wouldn't have thought that we would be here this is pretty awesome! Thanks for another great video matt!
Thanks. This is the most helpful video I’ve seen. You’re achieving the kind of thing I hope to do.

@@SCHOOLERstyle You’re quite wrong.
@@SCHOOLERstyletrue
The question should be “Is it absolutely awful?”, and the answer “no, there were several acceptable moments”
Phenomenal!! Great job Matt. Hollywood be scared, be very scared.
Sometimes you can let Dalle3 create the images, because it's listening better to the prompt, but the photorealism is less compared to Midjourney. What might help sometimes is uploading the Dalle3 image as an example for Midjourney so Midjourney understand better what you mean.
DALL-E 3 is far more realistic than Midjourney, far more. It's astonishingly lifelike as if you took a real photo. The problem is when you use the prompt "photorealistic", because a real photo is not "photorealistic", it's a "photo". Real life imagery is not like a photo, it is one. So when you ask for photorealism, it gives you something near realism, instead of real life. If you specify "photo", it will be lifelike. Ensure you check the prompt to see whether it's changing your phrasing to photorealistic, and if it does, say "Do not include the word 'photorealistic' or 'photorealism' anywhere in your prompts. Always say 'photo'", and it should work.
This is what was really disappointing with Matt's recent poor AI image comparison. I cannot believe he ranked DALL-E 3 low for realism, because it is the best in the game right now by far. Indistinguishable from real life when that's what you're asking for. You can't expect an AI image generator to give you something that looks like a photo if you don't ask for it.
@@SunnyWinterz Dear Sunny, I wished it helped. I've tried it, but it doesn't help for me. As a photographer the photos coming from Dalle 3 are too noise and too clean. And often the skin looks too plastic because of the way Dalle 3 handles the light.
Sometimes it does make a good photo, but most of the time not. And I can imagen that not Dalle3 is the problem, but I am, because for you it seems to work,
Believe in me. AI will never replace human hand work.
Thanks so much for taking the time to put this together. It’s wild to see it all coming together. 100% agree that prompt to trailer is not far off - months?? Nutty. ❤
Great start. I can see story boarding/costume/art direction all benefitting tremendously.
Thanks. Even in 10 months (when you posted this) the output from these tools has noticeably improved.
Great job on the trailer it looked fantastic. I am working on one as we speak. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. See you on X!!!!!!!
Very cool. Nicely done. I'll stick with Unity for my videos for now but AI is already a big player for me so it will be increasingly important no doubt.❤
Awesome video and thank you for outlining the whole process and showing us every AI tool you used and how to do it. I've wondered how it was all put together and you showed it masterfully.
That was a super cool sharing! I think Leonardo would be proud 😊!
hello again love your videos. Waiting for the AI to do a full cartoon. You should revisit Suno V2 for music it jumped to the next level,
Yes to Suno. That technology is out of this world.
I guess within 3 years you just give a prompt to a computer and it will give you back a complete movie. En the great thins is, you can watch it 10.000 times and every copy will be different.
Amazing time are ahead of us.
holy moly dude thats crazy thx for it you got a new subscriber!!!
Matt, you're definitely keeping us all on the cusp of this tech. Thanx
Don't look to closely at the trailer video or you'll have nightmares.
Thank you for the guide Matt! It was very helpful in creating our first AI trailer which is on our channel. Cheers!
If you want something that looks like a photo on Midjourney start your prompt with "photo of ..." and at the end of your prompt put ", soft focus" or "sharp focus"
in the undying words of the John Connor character: "if you're listening to this, you are the resistance"
Using stable video + frame interpolation is way better 😁👌
Fantastic! Great effort MAtt much appreciated
I've seen things commissioned and made on way less than this,, this is crazy!
This was a good illustration of the capabilities of these tools, but that's not how modern movie trailers usually go. There's no narration, only cuts of scenes that appear in the movie. This isn't to dump on your effort, just an observation. Thanks for making this, it was very interesting to see what's becoming possible.
It’s really amazing/scary what the fututre of filmaking will be. It seems pretty much a given that we are heating towards being able to create photo realistic films, from text prompts, app writing a single computer by if needed a single person.
Be very interesting to see how this stuff impacts film studios, effects houses, voice artists, actors etc.
This is sick! I don't know how I wasn't subscribed to you already, I thought I was. Watch your stuff everyday ;) Thanks for keeping up with the chaos.
You have saved my LIFE!!! I Have been looking for something like this for 3 days now! Thank you so much for creating this awesome video. I need to create a trailer and this is perfect!
Instead of putting style raw, you can say "photo of" before the prompt and get photographic images instead of paintings.
This is why I told you not keep jinx it, we're ended up with full blockbuster movie made with AI at this point.
For the music generation I'd advise to use Suno AI, it's V3 model generates an amazing and fantastic real sounding music and songs. Thanks for the great video. I recently also started to make my animations with AI tools
I still think AI is best used to create pieces and elements that a human artist/technician can then assemble into a cohesive end result.
how far away are we from just doing all of this in chat gpt - or even all in Runway for that. Outside of the voice/sound Runway has all the tools, even a timeline to build the final edit in. I think about how it wil all get smushed into a single thing at some point.
Damn, I wanna watch that movie, seems few notches above what Hollywood is capable of producing these days.
Does anyone else just kinda get lost in Matt's voice? I find it hypnotic. When the video finishes seems there's a vacuum.
Matt, love everything you're doing. In the dialogue @ 1:40 above you told him to use Leonardo's name throughout. Were you surprised when it did? That was funny. Prompting is showing to be a game changer. Thanks again for all your content.
"him"
The small now will later be large. It's the common man's time to shine.
ChatGPT has a passion of naming characters "Leo" for some reason 😂 also "Liam"
Im calling it right now, Neural Link + AI will allow us to think of a movie directly to video
How much time before we get a very good and decent trailer generation with sounds and all with one prompt?
That was absolutely epic! Thanks for all the great videos, man!
First there was Broadcasting, then Narrowcasting and pretty soon we will have Unicasting for all of our entertainment needs, where every type of audiovisual stimulus is AI-crafted to suit our own individual preferences
I think Video Stable Diffusion through Comfyui maybe able to automate everything (except for the music) at once as it develops.
Yo Matt, your video didn’t let go to school today.
Matt taking it to another level... Again! Mind blown, 10 thumbs up always Thank you
Great video as usual Matt. Gonna be a huge year! Looking forward to your take on it all as it happens. Thank you! Happy new year!

Rocky from Myrtle Beach.
No body movements or facial expressions-just a simple movement using a parallax effect and basic animation, resembling a cutout of the foreground moved over the background. This could be achieved even a few years ago without AI. We are still far from achieving something resembling a real video, despite the hype in the comments section. 😂
doubt it, you would just get a cardboard cut out fx, this is parallax with a 3d element, so its totally new? Agree though, far from real, but only been out 1 year
@@piggywahwahMore like 6 months really. Gen-1 was Feb but Gen-2 came out in like July of this year.

We live in amazing times, Matt.
WHAT’S happening Matt? This is COLORING BOOK--on X
Well I think the real amazing part is the fact that thanks to AI, the art, the music, the voice acting, and the sound effects can be done by just one person.
imagine what can be achieved by just 3 or 4 people working together with the same tools.
AI steals from human artists work. People who use AI to make art don't have any skills or talent.
@@SCHOOLERstyleI 100% agree with you, this is theft, and as mentioned before music has much stronger copyright claims to protect musicians than other artists.
Unfortunately this plot point has been brought up in court several times and it's actually been hard to prove damages, as you cannot copyright an art style.
The compromise that has been decided on however, is that AI isn't made by a person so whatever the prompter generates can't be claimed by that person as their own work, since they didn't make it, a computer did.
The guy who used AI art to win an art contest tried to copyright his generation several times, but he couldn't do it, because he technically didn't make it himself.
Matt would you still use similar workflow or could you do each scene with a single prompt in runway now?
Holy cow. Good on you! 😂❤ Amazing!
Literally the best Ai channel 🔥🔥🔥
The dawn of a new art form. It's no longer about could something be accomplished,or created- but, when.
5:44 my favorite part of this whole video
Wow great job. I didn't realize Runway has this brush tool. I've been ill and haven't added to my AI takeover series. Its time I get back to it. Thanks
Ah, what a missed opportunity to create the images in Leonardo AI and edit them in DaVinci :)
The one thing AI still can't do is have two (or more) separate characters in a scene and have them interact in a coherent way. Once that comes we'll get proper movies. Basically we need models trained on such scenes, indeed trained on movies rather than just images.
You can animate your youtube video next time like a million dollar movie

You know whats more impressive than a AI made trailer??? A trailer made by actual people!
That was fun 🎉 thank you for sharing!
This is where we are in less that 12 months of ai tools, where will we be this time next year. Till will tell. Great video Matt
I'm excited just thinking how cool this technology will be in a couple of years.
Awesome video man. Might be worth putting the entire tutorial on a second channel. "Matt Wolfe Long Cuts" Or something better. I'd also have loved it if you could have documented the time taken and the cost.... I say that because these subscription are adding up but still nowhere near the cost of having this done elsewhere.
Some things can be done with open source tools, for example generate the images via Stable Diffusion, the voice clips using w-okada AI Voice Changer, etc...
thank you so much, this is an amazing video, very inspiring and fun to watch ❤ (as always)
“Ha ha” he cackled, “look at the fire behind me!”
I love this AI video
Not bad. I'm doing similar things with all those tools, but instead of making trailers I'm making entire short "films". At the end you say "It's only a matter of time before we enter a single prompt and it does everything and spits out a trailer"... Personally, that might be interesting, kind of, but I'm more interested in being able to have full control over every element and putting in a single prompt will never get you that. Part of the fun is being 'The Director" and making choices about each character, each element, each shot and sequence and scene. Leaving it all up to the AI isn't as fun.
I am interested to know how long it took to complete this trailer. I used to create book trailers and it took me at least a week to locate and audition all the pieces it takes to make a short vid like this one and then put them all together and upload it. Too time-consuming for it to be worthwhile.
thank you soo much bro !!! congrats !!
5:44 no AI can substitute random plants 😋
Damn, you’re good man!!! Make it look so easy
Really good Matt! Really appreciate your tutorial.
Not bad at all
