- We purchased a new property which has been extremely neglected. We were able to get in there and begin to clean it up a little bit. Still a long ways to go !

I’m glad you were able to get this property or at least hope it all works out! I kept looking for a broke down lawn mower to be back there grown over someplace! This will make you a nice home!
Believe it or not there was a brand new Husqvarna riding mower in the garage lol I think there is a broke down rider in the shed but we never even made it to the shed lol! Thanks for watching Ben.
The L2501 appeared to handle that much better than I would have expected. You are a brave man going into a mess like that unsure of what is really under there. Congrats on the house.
Thank you, when we bought the 2501 we really were just looking for a smaller tractor to get some barn chores like raking arena, driveway maintaining, running generator but it has far exceeded my expectations.
Congrats on the new property! Brush hog did good! Instant gratification. Really excited to see the progress on the house!
We are super excited! Just wish there was more time in a day lol! Thanks for watching Sam!
Just bought an L3302. So excited! I've got 20 acres to clear.
Congrats on the purchase of the new home Richie and Christy 👍🏻, you are busy busy busy 😳. That was some thick stuff…hope you found the shed 😉🤣. Have a great one 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻
Thank you Luc! Busy is an understatement! Never made it to the shed lol, will need the m series with grapple and chain saw.
That's awesome you too. Big things are Happening at Hillside Acres for sure. Congrats on the house!!! You got into some Big brush there. Can't believe you chopped up the blocks too. All in a days work : ) Get some rest you guys got another Big day tomorrow ; )
Its going to be non stop for quite some time! A few extra acres now! Didnt know the blocks were there til they were chopped lol Thanks for watching and the support Mitch!
Nice property . Was just waiting for someone like you 👍 Don’t do what I did. Yesterday . Drove over a massive yellow jacket nest in the ground by the pond with the flail mower . Must of been 1000 bees came out In too a swarm . Got away just in time 😂👍
Thank you, we are very excited! Luckily no bees because i hate bees, especially the ground bees that you never see coming! Thanks for watching!
That L kicks some serious butt. Congratulations on the house, looking forward to some transformation content.
Thank you! Im looking forward to it too, just wish there was more time in a day !
Another Great video!! Congrats on the house, looks very nice. Those 2501’s are a beast, loving mine. Wish I had a heavier duty mower like yours. I bent my land pride one last week in one spot backing over some stuff. Easy fix but light duty.
Thanks Dallas! I really get the use out of the 2501. The brush bull has gone through some abuse and has been holding up great! Thanks for watching!
That Kubota and Woods make a nice combo!
Have been very pleased with the woods on both Kubota's! Thanks for watching!
I just bought the same machine. Was worried about the lack of rear pto, but looks like itll have plenty of power. Great video!
Good morning Sir, fuel handle are expose to harsh environment so they do have to get change and they are not cheap for sure 😮 You are a busy man Sir 💪👌😉 Keep up the OUTSTANDING WORK BOTH OF YOU 💪👌😉🍻
Busy is an understatement! You wouldnt believe how busy i am at work as well! Thanks for watching Dave!
@@HillsideAcres OUTSTANDINGLY CRAZY BUSY, SOUNDS BETTER ??? 🤣👌💪😉 Do It with safety in mind Sir Cheers 🍻
Seriously impressed with the bush hog work. I have an L2501 and never thought it was really possible with the lack of pto power.
I expected the 2501 to be underpowered, but had the m series to back it up but it has far exceeded my expectations!
Hello from Minnesota. I did a little bit of extreme brush hogging this weekend. Video to come. :)
Looking forward to it ricky!
I can certainly identify with what I am seeing here. My 2003 vintage B7500 w 4’ cutter is very adept at backing up into heavy brush. I would caution about keeping an eye on vines getting wrapped around PTO shafts. They will wander down onto the seals and force repairs. BTDT!
congratulations! Wish you al the best with it, Greetings from Belgium
Thank you! We are very excited to be moving forward.
You have your work cut out for you Richi... no pun intended.
You got that right Gary! Wish there were more time in a day!
I’ve heard nothing but good things about those woods brush hogs.
Where are you guys located
I looked at a few before going with woods, particularly these new model brush bulls really stood out to me and at an excellent price point. It has seen some abuse behind the M7060. We are in Connecticut. Thanks for stopping by Brock !
That was some seriously thick brush! Nice work. #purplecollarlife
The thick stuff is in the back i havent gotten to yet lol Thanks for watching Chad!
Maybe the shed was sitting on those blocks and you chopped it all up! Haha, seriously though, I kept expecting a surprise stump to ruin your effort. Good work!
Got a good stump jumper on the bush mower. Theres a lot more to go for sure! Thanks for watching Logan!
Congratulations Richie and Christy!!!! Also, I bet that felt good to attack that area and make it look a hell of a lot better. I saw the shed. did you find the septic?
I think that was a neighboring shed you saw lol! The septic cap is below grade i believe.
@@HillsideAcres oh lol ok well I saw A shed then. :) Keep looking then Richie! :)
How far is this property from your horse stable property? It looks like this was meant to be. Very good timing. Have a good day - cheers
Hey Bob! The house is across from the farm! Almost unbelievable how well it worked out. We are super excited!
@@HillsideAcres - Absolutely - This will allow you to have one property focused on the horse business and one more focused on family. I might have missed that fact in the video - I was watching while working and might have been focusing on my work at the time. I am so happy for you all.
I would be careful investing in a property you do not own. Until the closing they could back out and leave you with no way to recoup your investment of labor and fuel. I hope that does not happen, but you never can predict the future. Good luck Paul
The contract that my real estate attorney protects us from things like that. The seller just asked that a deposit be made before any work was performed inside of the house. To further protect them because at this point I’m the only one that can back out or legal action can be taken. Thanks Paul
I am happy you got sound legal advice before getting burned :-)
Have you ever used a 5ft tiller behind that tractor? just was curious im going to possibly buy that same tractor but a bit concerned if it would have enough PTO power to run a tiller? the dealer says yes 🤷♂️
I’ve used a 48 just because it’s what was available to borrow for our garden area there is video of it being used, no concerns weather it would run 5’.
@@HillsideAcres just checked it out. good deal thats makes me feel better about it. Thanks for making great videos.
Okay people. This is the type of job I have to do. Without cab, don't you almost always run into yellow jackets or bee nests? Is there some trick to avoid? I know mowing I've gotten assaulted by the pests and couldn't get out of the area fast enough. With a manual tranny, do you just throw it in fourth and hope to move away fast enough? Cabs are expensive, and don't really need except in extreme heat or cold. Please advise options, scenarios, ideas to keep from getting stung Tf up. Thanks, Roger
I actually rarely run into yellow jackets while mowing. If you know that they are there its best to exterminate them first or to wear some proper protective clothing, although a cab would be really nice! Bee spray is fairly cheap or even better fill the hole with gasoline at night and light it up!
@@HillsideAcres The scenario I suggested is when you DON'T know they are there, like buried in the overgrowth you were working on. I have used the gasoline and burnt the hole AFTER getting stung multiple times. Thanks for the feedback. Safe Tractoring to you.
@@rogerdenney3663 my best suggestion to wear some clothing to protect you, long sleeves and maybe look into a head net, my plan is to get off and run ! Lol
I may have missed it, but is that a 5’ bush hog?
Yes 60 inch!
Ok, I just got this tractor and have a 60” bush hog mower deck. I was worried about the back pasture thinking I may have to go slow as I cut. After watching this, all I can say is I am just waiting for the grass to grow. It won’t be long here in Mid TN…
So how many hp is your tractor? Tractor data says its only 20hp pto i find that weird bc its a 1.6l and mine is a 1.3l that is 22hp to the pto
19 pto horsepower… displacement does not equal horsepower. 2501 is tuned down to make 25 engine hp to stay under epa regulations
@@HillsideAcres yeah i know just seems weird to put that big of an engine for that much power. Makes sense with epa stuff, good thing is your gonna make a lot of tq with that compared to a smaller engine
@@mattcaesar5781 it also makes its peak hp at 2,000 rpm where it’s rated at and you can also crank it a little above that
Cut all of that vegetation away from that house. I don’t know why people feel the need to plant so much crap around a house. Does nothing but cause issues down the road. Before we purchased our current house, the old man and woman that lived in it planted vines all around the place. Took me a month to get all that crap off the brick and pulled out for the soffit vents.
I think it was mostly due to neglected maintenance. We plan to just start fresh. Time is currently an issue. Thanks for watching
" Outage " I say you work at a factoring of some sort. Best to you.
Nuclear power station !
What size is the cutter?
60 inch
@@HillsideAcres I found it in another video you did the 60.30. I was actually looking at a few weeks ago. Good work
