@@bossbrowsla Thank you, i have been watching your videos for some time, and i feel confident in my work now! again thank you so much for providing these videos to the microblading community!

I'm doing a little dance while taking notes! Thanks. Quick question, are the Ublade and 21R the only needles one should have for Blade & Shade method or do you recommend 19R,5R,14 pin, 18R also to have handy? I mean what's more universal to have in one's tools.
You can actually use whatever shader you prefer. I have liked the double shaders for blade and shades lately. a 9 double shader or 15 double shader. And as far as the microblading tool goes... u can use whatever you prefer. I prefer a U blade. If you ever need more education, I have a great online course that would go over all of this. Hey Christy, I purchased the 21 round shader that you recommend. Most of my clients do not want any Microblading. Can I shade a whole brow with this tool. I also have a fine shading tool for the very end of the tail. If you could answer my question & maybe give me any additional tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Yes you can use that tool for the entire brow. however you will need to use something else for the thinner parts and outline (like the super fine shading tool you told me about) 😉 I think I have a video on how to do an ombre brow (its not SUPER detailed so ill try to make a new one but it will def help out for now 😍😉) 👉🏼ruclips.net/video/KVAumjvEqvk/видео.html
I loooove this combination so much more natural. Thank you again Kristie. I’ve also seen a straight 8 blade for tapping between the strokes. Is your Round better in your opinion?
I like flat shaders and round shaders. just depends how much space youre trying to cover. I would use the round (more pins) for larger spaces and smaller/flat ones for narrow areas ✌🏼
Glad you like them! 😂ya I never did understand the people who write mean comments how they "hated" the video... bc it's like, why are they even wasting their time... lol.
it really depends on the desired effect. For bolder, I may do 3 or even 4 (fourth being a touch up pass).. .for softer and lighter brows, I will do two passes.
I've now watched two of your videos! You're an awesome instructor! I had a client today and really slowed my technique down with your words in my head! My question on this video is, did you dilute the pigment for the shading and if so what percentage ?
This video is so helpful thank you so much. I’m a new ombré brow artist just wondering if I can use the shading method to outline instead of the machine?
you can use manual shading for an ombre brow... it may just take a little longer. I used to do ombre brows all manually before I even started using machines.
Thank you. that means a lot! Let me know if you need anything. video ideas/product suggestions, etc. also, I did just launch an online training if youre ever looking for some extra training to perfect your microblading.
Manual and machine shading are different. I prefer manual shading for faux freckles, beauty marks and blade and shades but like my machine better for ombré 👍🏻
Hi there! This is probably an obvious question, but if you wanted to add the shade portion on a touch-up, do you still do your strokes first, then shade?
@@maliaferrozzo435 I think I understand your question... 🤔 but usually I recommend not shading too close to those front stroke bc it will blur them out.
@@bossbrowsla I have an older client that prefers the solid powder look, but I don't perform anything by machine, so wondering if this handheld shading technique is ok to do in the front of the brows for someone who doesn't necessarily care for hairstrokes? :)
great question. And the answer is ABSOLUTELY! Any time you are working on the skin you want to hold the skin as tight as possible for best results and least amount of trauma.
when you're shading try to go in-between the strokes.. however you will be shading on top of the strokes a little. just know that when you shade over strokes it will cause the strokes to blur out a little when they heal.
It depends. I usually do 2 passes. However, depending on the desired effect, I may do more. If a client wants super bold I may have to do a third. I would recommend doing a little at a time and seeing how it looks before adding more.
yes it will. this is why you don't want to shade all the way to the tip or base of the stroke. you want those areas to still look crisp.. but the blur is meant to help "fill" in empty space giving the illusion of fuller brows.

I'm not sure that I understand your question. Can you clarify? if you are referring to the pigment already implanted in the hair strokes you don't have to worry bc you've already placed it there with your first pass of microblading. I'm happy to help if that's not what you were referring to though.
Aubree Anne Adams if you’re having trouble getting pigment to stay it’s most likely Bc you need to hold the skin more taught. If the skin is moving the pigment can’t get in the skin. I’m still not sure if you’re referring to the strokes or the shading. But the first pass you will do your strokes then you will apply a pigment mask. Once you remove the pigment mask all of the pigment will be in the skin. Then you will do the manual shading. The shading will stay once you wipe the pigment away because it’s been implanted into the skin. If you’re having trouble make sure that you are using a three point stretch to hold the skin extra tight. You will also want to make sure you have mastered the flick motion

not necessarily, but not everyone knows how to use a machine so its nice to be able to have the option.
Hi, Kristy! Thanks so much! I have heard you need to really warm your pigment before Pixel shading, it is the same with this type of hand shading?
Kinda depends what pigment line you are using. I will warm up some of my shading depending on pigment color, and clients skin tone

typically.
