I can barely watch this knowing it is already sold. The perfect car in every way
Really enjoyed seeing and hearing this astonishing GTX! I used to have this exact model, except mine had the hemi 4-speed. Mine was silver on red and also had the air grabber, Dana rear, dual piston calipers, but not matching numbers (original VIN RS23L9A458138......I actually memorized it). Gosh I miss that car and driving it. Thanks again!!
That car is a piece of art. Simply perfect
I had a 1968 GTX, gold in color. It was the toughest thing on the streets where I lived in Texas.
Had 69 making me sick for selling mine
Lord that's a beautiful car sweet ride
That thing is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!
Being a die hard Mopar guy, I wish I had the funds!
All shiny, and correctly rebuilt 60s MOPARS, with factory stock details are. :)
What every man desires and deserves to own. Gorgeous inside and out.
Beautiful old monster
What a gorgeous GTX!
The imperfection on the car would be me sitting in the driver's set. NICE CAR!
I love them in stock condition. Wow even has the hipo manifolds, very awsome.
This beauty is a beast
Like the interior colors a lot
Wow do I love that car that is my dream car in the paint in the interior it is the best one I've ever seen
Congratulations brother. An absolute beauty of a find. Enioy.
A dream car. Rip.Rip.Roar!
thats bloody marvelous....
I used to own one of these, of all the cars I used to have, I miss the GTX the most !
mrrpepsi24 Miss my Super Bee too
Beautiful color scheme. Only thing I don't absolutely love about this car is the automatic transmission, which actually came as standard equipment in the GTX. If I was buying a Plymouth in 1969 then this would be the car I would buy, sans the automatic. I would've opted for the 4 speed, which was also cheaper. The GTX was a more comfortable car to drive than the more stripped down Road Runner. Plus the standard engine in the GTX was the 440, while the standard Road Runner Engine was the 383. Both were optional with the 426 Hemi, but both the 383 and 440 we're much better engines for everyday driving. Also the A12 package became available mid year for the Road Runner( 440 6 BBL, 4 speed, 4.10 rear, black lift off fiberglass hood, and plain black steel wheels) which is actually my all time favorite non-426 hemi Mopar muscle car

I was watchin/waiting to see if it was 4spd ??? Big disappointment when I saw it was an Automatic !!! The 727 Torqueflight is a Solid Tranny BUT it's an Automatic !!! 😔
Wow, excellent colors, great ride
What a super beautiful car
...which works "phenomenally."
i was 15 1/2 yrs old got my first car 1969 GTX 440 i had to sit on a pillow to drive lol same color Bronze. then a Red 1970 Road runner 383. then a red 1971 Road Runner 340 which I still have in the garage. great cars.
You kept the wrong one.
Gorgeous.
I've owned a couple of hot rods, but this has been my dream car ever since I was a teenager working at my uncle's service station back in the early '70s. The a/c, auto on the floor and PS is what rounds it out as the perfect stoplight cruiser. The only thing else I could wish for would be the Hemi. Of course, that would push the price into the stratosphere. Oh well, maybe one day ...
Most beautiful car on the face of the planet we call earth!
My '70 Super Bee had that same console/ball knob. I never liked the style of the knob at the time, but boy, how I miss it now... :/
Probably the nicest I ever seen. Just WOW!
My brother had One in Michigan when I was a kid, I loved that car 🚗 he had a small steering wheel with a meep meep horn 📯 and a Hearst stick shift this one looks just like it wow
17 years old went to the junk yard to get a transmission for my chevelle and sitting in front of the building was a 69 gtx they had just got in and was getting ready to pull it apart. Needless to say I didn't get the transmission for the Chevy I bought the gtx which had a bad transmission for 450 dollars and never looked back, still have it today at 61 years old the Chevy left a long time ago looking back should have kept it also 67 ss 396 4spd car
Lindão.
Very beautiful
Reminds me of the 1969 Satellite (318) I had in the early '90s that I drove to and from work for 10 years. Not the same thing, I know, but man, what memories. I never heard of the two-tone paint option, that's awesome (better than a vinyl top, which mine had), but then, I think I was more into Road Runners back then (couldn't afford a big-block, lol) and didn't respect the GTX as I should have (I was young).
My dad owned that exact car except his was a yellow looking tan color and black. His was a super commando 440 dual 4 barrels. He ran 12’s in it on 10” slicks. He could outrun the hemis through the 1/4 mile but after that they would drive around him like he was tied to a stump.
Sweet ride.
Very nice car and a thumbs up for you.
BEAUTIFUL GTX!!!!! MY 69 WAS THE SAME COLOR BUT WITH BLK VINYL TOP/BLK INTERIOR(NO AIR)AND A 440 WITH 4 ON THE FLOOR!!!! I LOVED THAT CAR,SHE WAS ONE BADASS RIDE,I WISH THAT I STILL HAD HER(AND YES I ALWAYS REFERRED TO MY 69 AS HER OR SHE,IT WAS MY BABY BACK THEN!!!!!) HIND SITE IS 20/20!!!!!
gorgeous
So beautiful!!!!!!
Dave Valant thank you
Looks good.
I'd have to have Galen Govier verify the car before I'd spend that kind of money, especially since at $85k for a 440 4bbl car I'd expect a concours restoration instead of the clear over restoration. Still an absolutely gorgeous car though.
Get it a 6-pack! Beautiful car... gorgeous really.
Plymouth’s never had six packs, only dodge did. Get with the program car enthusiast . Plymouth’s has 440+6 or called them 440 6 bbl (barrel)
nice car!
Gorgeous car, great color, special car.
THATS ALSO MY DREAM CAR IVE LOVED THESE CARS FOR YEARS GOTA GET ONE IVE VEEN MEANING TO
Awesome
I had the 69 Ply Sp Satellite, 318 amazing!..This is when cars were cars..Mopar forever...
Very beautiful car, I love the color combo, I have a 69 roadrunner ivy green with a painted white top, I like this gtx combo better
Très belle voiture merci
Do the seat belts work?
It's actually an "ammeter," but cool car!
I would kill to own this car.🙀❤️❤️❤️❤️ I’m sure they want a fortune for it.
It might be valued at 85k but if you look around and take your time you can find one of these in great shape for much less . Great car for the person who has some what deep pockets ....... nice video ...... nice salesperson ......should sale quick .
Doesnt get much better than this
@@jeffscott8323 Yes it does--the Dodge Hellcat will smoke it, and the real Hp of the 440 was not 390 but 325 so any 2019 V-8 car will smoke it.
@@chadhaire1711 440 hp was 375 with 490ft. lbs. at the rear wheel on average .
@@rosscohenderson1651 you have NO CLUE what you are talking about kid.....375 at the crank on a bench..with muffler, air cleaner, and belts--as installed in the car it dropped to 305 hp....that is from the FACTORY CATALOG.....at the rear wheels even less.....do your research before making comments you know nothing about.
Mopar at there best 👍
nice
What is the "voltometer" you mention at 3:00 time?
I heard that too! I realize you're being facetious, ... I've not seen one in a car (likely due to the platinum probes, and sulfuric acid)🙄 ... but there is such a thing as a Voltameter
I have yet to hear a finer descriptive narrator.
Yes, the car is impeccable.
No doubt the 14 down votes were motivated by insane jealousy.
Thank you for such an awesome
show-&-tell.
Well Said!
I agree except for the "voltometer" at 3:00 time
The "voltometer". 3:00
Is it for sale?
6:18 Did it shift early from gear 2 to gear 3? Maybe you let off the gas early and that's why it shifted?
SanFranciscoBay no let off
Automatic?
the horn works? yeah i think it should for 85 big ones!
How much are you asking?
Bring it to my door pls
I My 69 GTX , carb air is on the cable handle under the dash , driver's license test examiner ask me
What is that for???
Please, what is with that dash ashtray?
Roy frailey
how much would somthing like this cost?
Great car. 68 Wheels. Vinyl Top?
Those are the Magnum 500 wheels which you could get for 1969.
And to think I could have bought one in 1980 for $1500.00 but thought it was to much
very nice, but you'd think he'd have put a set of headers on it.
right..and destroy the value...IDIOT.
Sweet Car and best of all it is A MOPAR
with an old engine that only cranks 305 horsepower--any modern V-6 can beat it...
@@chadhaire1711 He just said it was 375 HP not 305? Either way the car looks great and I would love to own it.
@@daveschwartz9712 375 GROSS fake rating.....after 1972 they were forced to admit is was really 305 horsepower........
The engine looks to be painted Chevrolet orange? the air cleaner is Mopar orange they do not match but overall a nice ride
😊😊😊
Ill bet it came with a tan vinyl roof not paint.
theoriginalmungaman it did
Vo2 Vo8 Vo9?
My 1969 GTX 440-375 HP 4bl 727 trans came with Red Interior, Sand Pebble Beige paint with Tan vinyl top. Sold it after 42 years. :-( The 727 trans were built to hold up to 500HP all day long at the drags. It needed to be the toughest to stand up to sanctioned drag races, and it did!!!
Absolute Dyna-Mite! Fuck
Приятно!!!!
I wish
Texas rust free cars
Keep your damn fingers off the paint!
I've owned 3 of those,The only engine option for the GTX was 425HP 440,not 375HP! and the 426 HEMI.And that car came with a vinyl top to.not a painted one. the coolest one my uncle gave me,yellow with the snake skin top in white .But in 1984 you could buy all muscle cars for a few hundred buck's.And we did.
@@lewisshepard9239 Commando 440 was 425.
kevin jachim no,440 was only 375. 440 six barrel wasn't but 390. 426 HEMI was 425.
There was no 425hp/440 stock.
Wrong, no 440 was 425 horse they were all 375. The super commandos, single 4 barrel, and Even the 6 barrel set up were 375 horse with 480 ft pounds of torque. The 426 hemi was 425 hp with 490 ft lbs. All plymouth 383 were called commando and 440 were super commando. All plymouth 6 barrels were called 440+6 or 440 six barrel, NOT SIX PACKS. ONLY DODGE CALLED THEIR 3 2 BARREL SET UP SIX PACKS. Dodge 383 engines were called magnums and so were their 440 four barrels. If a road runner or gtx had a air grabber, they were called coyote dusters. On the dodges they were called ramchargers.
stripervince1 the six barrel was 390 Horsepower
Is it numbers matching ? lol
Never turn a steering wheel when the car is not moving!!! :-)
You will kill your steering pump.
$85,000.00 to much for me is a beautiful looking car... But! But! But! $85,000.00?
Beautiful car but WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY OVERPRICED !!!!!!!!!
Definitely not overpriced. It is a prestine GTX with 0 flaws.
If it were a Hemi car and a 4 speed then maybe 85k
Nice colors, and car is beautiful but hardly has every option available. No 4 speed, no power windows, no dual sport mirrors, no fm radio no power locks no racing stripes....
3 speed automatic was an option that cost more than the lame 4-speed, and the automatic car was faster anyway. The real horsepower was not 375 but really 305--any modern V-6 car will beat it.
chad haire two different eras .my supercharged 281 svt cobra would smoke this, with the AC on. It’s lighter, better tires , better brakes just different. My friend has a wrx Subaru, it’s an absolute street killer. My cousin just bought a Tesla. It will beat a Ferrari it’s insane. But it’s a ugly little four door sedan. I’d way rather have the gtx. Beautiful
@@stripervince1 A 2019 Challenger looks better and will smoke it with its common 5.7 375 hp engine at only $31,000. In fact you dont need much of a new car to smoke this old 305 hp rust bucket--A Toyota Camry with V-6 would beat it. At 9 mpg a waste of gas.
chad haire back in the day the H.P. Was actually rated lower for insurance purpose. 375, was actually over 400. And for your information, back in them days the 4 speeds were faster. You are right about one thing, modern day cars are faster. It’s called technology. I’ve seen other comments you’ve made. Obviously don’t know much about the old muscle car era.
They claim they put two men on the moon in 69.but Chrysler didn't know how to put air in a classic like that.
You don't put Air in a car like that. Back in the day it's about power.
You could have told us the price a****** somebody might be interested if you said the price then we could call you
Bj
I blew off road runners with my 67 GTO
Hell ya Rob. I owed a 67 goat.
Robert they are both classic love them both I have a 67 gtx
I blew off gtos with my supercharged svt cobra mustang. Hah. With the air conditioning on.
stripervince1 my gto was stock
