Ernest Clayton Walker Jr. (born August 19, 1969) is an American country music artist. He made his debut in 1993 with the single "What's It to You", which reached Number One on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) chart, as did its follow-up, 1994's "Live Until I Die". Both singles were included on his self-titled debut album, released in 1993 via Giant Records. He stayed with the label until its 2001 closure, later recording for Warner Bros. Records, RCA Records Nashville, and Curb Records.
Clay Walker has released a total of eleven studio albums, including a greatest hits package and an album of Christmas music. His first four studio albums all achieved platinum certification in the United States and his greatest hits collection and fifth studio album were each certified gold. He has charted more than thirty singles on Hot Country Songs, of which six have reached number one: "What's It to You", "Live Until I Die", Dreaming with My Eyes Open", "If I Could Make a Living", "This Woman and This Man", and "Rumor Has It".

Seriously, I agree. But he doesn’t have that narcissism, sexy-bad-boy, that tends to drive women crazy. He’s truly like the boy next door…someone you overlook and late in life wish you’d realized just what a great guy he was. I spent my mid-teens in Hillsboro, Illinois. Pickups and small town American values. And I just discovered Clay today at 65! My two daughters and I are all country western music fans. (A benefit of their growing up in Denver and Rapid City.) I’m in Portland, Oregon and am wishing with my whole heart that politically correct spots in our country could find a respectful way to listen to those from small town America (towns decimated by Walmart!) because we’ve lost something very important - respect for others that helps us to listen and considering different points of view.

This is by far one of his absolute best recordings, it's from the DirecTV special recorded at Rodeo Houston 10+ years ago.
I have 5 of his CD's, but they all sound so bland and overmixed compared to his live performances, they just don't have the same soul to them.
Clay is a live performer, and he needs to release a LIVE album, he can never match the same magic in the studio that his live performances have to them.
If you've only heard his studio albums, you're missing-out, this is the way he should always sound, and it's incredible to listen to!

I have seen him in concert every year since I was 13(up until last year and they rescheduled numerous times and finally got to 👀 him Thursday night September 23rd) it was an awesome show!
