Do I need to use a receiver battery for this process

You need to power the Aura (and thus your RX) in some way. If your ESC has a BEC that supplies power, then you could simply power your ESC. In the case of our Ventique here, it requires a receiver pack, as the ESC does not have a BEC.

      Hi Michael,
The Remote Receiver IS the receiver. The Aura 8 is a gyro system, not a receiver. Specific servo ports will vary depending on your particular aircraft's setup. I'd recommend checking out our Wiki site for all things Aura:

@@FlexInnovations So confused. I have Aura 8 and Spektrum 9320T with 2 remote receivers. What is the setup needed for this? (the only way I have this working is connecting remote receivers to the Spektrum receiver with 1 cable between Aura 8 to the SRXL port on the 9320T Receiver.
Are you suggesting that I do not need to use the Spektrum 9320T receiver at all? (and just plug the 2 remote receivers directly into Aura 8?)

@@DavidYardy Yes, the Aura 8 will work with just the satellites plugged into the a and b ports, however the setup you have using the data cable with the full receiver is the preferred method.
