It's really random but I feel I must say it.
There was a moment when Rosita is telling her husband Norman about getting into the show, and he's already fallen asleep. Your reaction was "fell asleep? hahhh Norman :( overworked, tired"
Everybody's automatic response is to be grossed out by how he's not even trying to be listening to his wife and leaves all the home work to her (including me). It was actually inspiring to see somebody thinking so positively on everybody :)
Yes! It’s sad moment, and of course Rosita felt kinda lonely- but it’s not easy to feed such big family after all. Norman came home really late and was so tired he couldn’t even finish his food, poor lad. It’s clear he’ kinda stuck in endless loop (so he didn’t even notice anything strange next morning), and he didn’t complain or being angry to his family for this.

I loved both of the movies. The soundtracks in both are just great. its overall a fun movie to enjoy with family.
As a grown ass man who actively avoids crying for the sake of others. I do love when i find a movie that can force me to cry despite that...normally has to do with sad dog moments. A Dog's purpose/Journey really hit me hard.
Gosh I SOOO know what you mean! Just the thought of crying in the presence of others makes me feel incredibly awkward (and I still haven't done it during movies with others), BUT I did recently realize that crying actually CAN release feel-good brain endorphins (since then, I've become quite a tearjerker-seeker). It took me about 35 years to actually NOTICE those endorphins firsthand (then I did research on it to find out why I actually was wanting more tearjerker movies, lol... it was Pixar's Inside Out that started it). I haven't seen A Dog's Purpose, BUT I HAVE seen "Hachi- a dog's tale"... have you seen that one? That one pulled some very serious tears from me.

"Sing" didn't happen to "get me" in that aspect, BUT Sing 2 DID get me, quite hard. I am watching his reaction to that one next.
Seth MacFarlane can actually sing. He's does more opera type music. He actually sings on family guy a lot. He also sings with other famous singers as well.
He and his sister were trained vocally by the same people who trained Frank Sinatra and Barbara Streisand. Frank is a big inspiration for him.
He's on his 3rd studio album I believe.
Seth MacFarlane was actually trained in singing by the same people who trained Frank Sinatra. He's a spectacular singer and will generally take any opportunity to sing in one of his projects just to show off how good he is. He also sang the opening song for Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder,.

I’ve always wondered if he charged like a $5 fee to enter the competition for like “registration costs” if that would have likely covered the some of his debt. Because hosting the auditions isn’t cheap. I attended the auditions for American Idol back in the day and you’re there all day just to go from room to room to room and that’s well before they even select ppl for the televised b roll footage.

@@rainclouds3677 oh no sorry it wasn’t me, hahaha I guess I untyped that part, I tagged along with my godsister (she and her siblings went to actual schools centered around music/art) I personally think her voice is pretty amazing but even she didn’t cut it. I think we were around 15/16 at the time but it shows that a lot of those shows at time were more geared towards “good tv” than talent searching. Bc you have to think about all the bad auditions you see and wonder how they made it to the televised cut when there are far better singers in the audition phase.

My guess is that Buster thought that would be too underhanded/unfair - the character is an optimist through and through, and never thought about trying to cheat people out of their money.
I, personally, would’ve tried to host it like Survivor or something and every day for a few weeks, had different trenches of competitors sing, and the audience vote someone off each time - and just from that, it’d recoup the costs.
Of course, I also see how Buster wouldn’t think that’s fair.
😂🤣😭👌 Favorite part is when he hit rock bottom and his friend helps him wash the car. Hilarious but just what a friend should do.

I admire buster for having the guts to pursue his dreams but Eddie will always have a special place in my heart for having Buster's back despite his missteps. He may be a bum but he's loyal and he eventually found his calling being a stage-hand. 😉

I just recently saw Sing 2, and UNTIL the last 30 minutes, I thought it was overhyped BUT... then during those last 30 minutes... OMG. There were so many feelings pleasantly attacking me all at once, lol. They REALLY did aspects well such as realistically portraying that performer-audience and inter-audience-members connection at the end... it has been a LONG time since I've been to any live performance, and NEVER have I ever been to one that BIG.

@@rachel-in-the-208 Don't get me wrong, I thought the whole thing was objectively great. I think I only said that because I subjectively enjoyed all/most of the first movie's songs even more than the songs in the first half of Sing 2. But in comparison to any other movie I've ever seen, the last 30 minutes of Sing 2 actually gave me the same (or at least similar) feeling that I would get watching an actual in-person live performance... so they did an "OMG" job with the sound and everything especially with things like mimicking a HUGE audience singing back :D

@@GamingFanactic911 you can't be serious. Her "development" was non-existent. She started off as a rebellious teenage drama queen. She ended the film being a rebellious teenage drama queen. She got some spotlight just cause, and that's it. The whole plot was convoluted and unjustified.
I ended up watching this for the first time on another video reaction months ago - probably not what I should have done but I didn’t have very high expectations for the movie. I was so wrong! It’s now one of my favorites and I’m *so* looking forward to your reaction to the sequel! 😁

People always think because they can't belt that they can't sing. JV's voice 'sounds' like he can sing though. He has a very nice vocal speaking tone.
7:45 As to why they were eating animals at the restaurant despite being animals themselves, I highly recommend BoJack Horseman. One episode goes into detail on how food consumption works in that universe. Despite being in a world where we have sentient, humanoid animals, they basically farm unintelligent and genetically modified animals for sustenance. Maybe the same is at play in the world of Sing.
Also, Seth MacFarlane really CAN sing! His songs in Family Guy are incredible!

First off, Frank Sinatra originally sang “My Way,” not Seth Macfarlane. Second, I really enjoyed this film, even if I thought the second one was a little better. I would say that I liked how much Buster Moon had a very optimistic attitude of life, even if a little too optimistic at times. Anyway, I would say that I love the characters all stand out in this film. However, I would say my favorite characters would likely be Buster Moon, or Ash. Anyway, thanks for reacting to this film! Looking forward to seeing you react to the second film fairly soon.

This is really old what I’m writing as your reaction was a long time ago. I know you have some what of a concept of Seth McFarland, but Seth is a big time vocal wizard. He has trained his voice to do anything that he wants to. As the mouse inSing that’s what he sounds like on his current albums. Iike Sinatra. But I found him first in the first season of the adult animatedseresFaily guy. At that tie the pilot episode he did Althea male voices ad drew te animation (cartoons). He did eachmale voice. But get this if the character Santa song he sang the song in the vice of the character.back then nobody did that. There did American dad and a lot of the voices those two show I think are still in publication and the repeats probably draw a lot of money listen to this. He’s on Fox which is conservative but usually one of his characters represent his liberal views and the stories end up liberal outcomes. And one time rush limball played himself as a conservative but when the episode ended he was liberal. So basically these animated adult cartoons are political. Loved your reaction. I had seen sing so many times that I didn’t cry but it was good to see you cry about Johnny the young gorilla and his father. Johnnys voice was I think Taron Everton something who sang Elton John’s song in sing, but also played Elton John in Elton John’s biopic Rocketman.
The sequel just came out recently. If you love this, you'll absolutely love the second.

My family adores both Sing movies. They pack a punch with great animation, amazing songs, antics & adventure but all with a deep-rooted storyline. ❤
This movie first came off to me as a bit cringey but I'm happy to say it got to me and so did Sing 2. Hope you will watch that too😊

I want to say Mike’s character is based off Frank Sinatra but don’t quite recall. his singing a Sinatra song was perfect, the only other version of this song I like is John Cleese’s in George of the Jungle.
You should watch Where the Wild Things Are. Adaption of the children's book and I saw it in theaters years ago. It is such a good movie. Also, Monsters v Aliens, Mars needs Moms and the Narnia franchise.

The second one was good two
I was most invested in Ash'e storyline. There's a lot there: Her boyfriend not only cheated on her, but the fact that he was unsupportive and unwilling to share the spotlight only made it worse. You might also notice that while she rebels a little, she submits a bit to her boyfriend at first before taking a stand for herself. She really progressed in her character development.
Out of all the Illumination movies, this one is the third-least terrible after _Despicable Me_ 1 and 2.
Both this and sing 2 are considerably better than DM2 imo
This reminds me of my time in Threater camp, and I took on amazing roles. I performed at the Magic Threater downtown, and it was an Alice in Wonderland stage musical play, I did the Jabberwocky part to wear on my shoulders like a backpack and lean over a bit. No one wanted to be the Jabberwocky, so I had the courage to play a monster for part of the play before going along with the Carpenter role afterward because that's the role I had gotten two days after joining up in the cast. It was the fun time of my life in middle school and a little during High school.
