To be fair, he didnt ask for a party or gifts. It was a corporate tactic to get (what sounds like years overdue) a pay raise!
I mean, he didn't ask for a party and all of those gifts. Like, she has to understand that.
He didn’t do anything wrong, employees shouldn’t be content with working without a pay raise for 10 years

Yeah he's a jerk but it's also partially her fault for working at the same place for ten years without a raise. After two or three years without a raise she should have started looking. Who works for a place for 10 years without 1 raise???
