I've been disfellowshipped 8 times, and each time I was crying and sad, and felt within my soul that I had let Jehovah down, and each time the elders told me I wasn't truly repentant, that I needed the discipline. Here in Denmark, it seems JW has become the focus of the government: It has been announced that laws may be revised to "reduce tolerance towards religious extremism.". Due to JW's interference with people's right to marry; divorce has to be acknowledged by JW. If not, they are considered to be still married and can thus not engage in a new marriage! -> This may cause JW to lose its status as a recognized religion, and thus lose the various benefits that has.

And the parents will take care of their child, so long as the minor cooperates. He met with me and told me to take all the negative speech and prove them wrong. Since disassociating I finally had the opportunity to study in university. Currently half way done with my studies in business administration. Was raised Mormon and so much of this reminds me of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the way they had to subtly make changes because of change laws and social mores. Wearing beards was removed as an offence from the jw org book of flagellation some years ago however the congregations were administering their own punishments such as relegating beard wearers menial tasks within. The jworg GB were concerned at membership number decline and ran a recent campaign to reinforce that beards were ok... Its all about membership.
I turned in my resignation letter in 2021. They still announced that i was disfeloship by the organization. My main reason for the resignation is that some of their policies did not show Gods love or our neighbors love. I was Baptist when i was 16 years old and was a publisher sense 13 years old. Most definitely i believe this commitment is a illegal contract with a minor. My love for my daughter gave me the courage to walk away from this organization. I was not going to raise her with this mental ill patterns of the organization doctrines and manipulation.

I was born and raised in this, although my family wasn't as fanatic as they come and I slowly disassociated over the years because I felt restricted, lonely, isolated, etc I 100% believed it was the truth through all of these years. Up until very recently did I "wake up" and although I didn't attend meetings regularly or anything, what they taught me stuck with me all the way. I lived most of my days in fear that I was ultimately damning myself, my children/partner to die in armageddon because I knew the truth but turned my back on it due to the organization being hard to survive in. All the guilt, shame, fear, panic attacks during large storms.. for THESE MEN? I'm slowly trying to deconstruct the indoctrination but part of me is still so afraid. 😢 Does it ever get easier?

A Lady in our congregation of Jehovah witnesses has a shorn head and is a pioneer and attends meetings without a head covering or wig . I think this is horrible. I hated the skirts so much. I can not believe they make this changes! I had a sister, she always punished me. She was a really bad older sister, but she is the only one I have had. No wonder I got privately disciplined because one elder (whom I learned looking back doesn't like me) was not convinced that I was repentent enough when I confessed my guilt to a lot of elders who were involved during my judicial committee because I wasn't even crying when I shared my story. Rabbi Singer has the best commentary on Paul and how he hijacked and totally screwed up his application of the old testament, even changing his story depending on who he was writing to. It's all just made up nonsense and I tried to hang into some sort of Christianity after I quit the JWs but then I took a very critical look at Christian claims and it wasn't much different than Watchtower, especially Paul who over and over said "trust me bro, I got this from Jesus himself." And almost no Christian actually follows the teachings of Jesus if taken literally.
To add to your point, John wrote in Revelation 2: 1-3 to Ephasus (Paul wrote to Ephasus) that some falsely claimed to be apostles. Paul wasn't even an apostle; Matthias was the apostle who replaced Judas. So the entire Pauline Christian doctrine is false which is what Watchtower follows.

My main reason for the resignation is that some of their policies did not show Gods love or our neighbors love.

I was born and raised in this, although my family wasn't as fanatic as they come and I slowly disassociated over the years because I felt restricted, lonely, isolated, etc I 100% believed it was the truth through all of these years. Up until very recently did I "wake up" and although I didn't attend meetings regularly or anything, what they taught me stuck with me all the way. I lived most of my days in fear that I was ultimately damning myself, my children/partner to die in armageddon because I knew the truth but turned my back on it due to the organization being hard to survive in. Rabbi Singer has the best commentary on Paul and how he hijacked and totally screwed up his application of the old testament, even changing his story depending on who he was writing to. It's all just made up nonsense and I tried to hang into some sort of Christianity after I quit the JWs but then I took a very critical look at Christian claims and it wasn't much different than Watchtower, especially Paul who over and over said "trust me bro, I got this from Jesus himself." And almost no Christian actually follows the teachings of Jesus if taken literally.
To add to your point, John wrote in Revelation 2: 1-3 to Ephasus (Paul wrote to Ephasus) that some falsely claimed to be apostles.
Paul wasn't even an apostle; Matthias was the apostle who replaced Judas. So the entire Pauline Christian doctrine is false which is what Watchtower follows.
Paul was a traitor anyway he rewrote the whole bible for the church . Religion created by man to control the masses
