Cool. They have a few smaller versions of these in Teynham in Kent. A few years ago, a delivery driver opened the gates on one and started to cross without telephoning the signaller for permission. His van got hit by a 395 and since then, the gates have had the automatic part disabled.
I found this... It was only last year! For some reason I thought it was longer ago... www.gov.uk/government/news/collision-at-frognal-farm-user-worked-level-crossing
Will Scriven They're apparently called POGO crossings (Power Operated Gate Opener). A local one near me had an upgrade in March 2017, but recently a van was hit at it so RAIB are investigating the designs of these things.
@@JTCrossingsUK And someone would come out and say "Don't keep pressing the button to open the gates and close the gates as you'll waste all the gas and we'll get stuck on the crossing! 😂😂😂
Nice video! That's nice how both gates open and close at the same time

Cool. Looks like it's pneumatic.
It's safer than going onto the crossing to open the opposite gate.
Max Ganesh Yeah I prefer them like this. Would also be good if they put in MWL’s.

Wow. This should be named a LWC (Lazy Worked Crossing). I would stand there for ages just pressing the button 😀😀
UK Level Crossings Channel Lucas Sargent was there, that’s why I went because he told me, and he was pissing round with the gate too lol.
Joe Thorpe You know what would happen if me, you and Plummer were here for ages. 😂😂😂😂
UK Level Crossings Channel yeah the gates would fuck up! 😂😂😂
