  • Aquata Classic CCCXXX funboard. It's a kind of all-round board, can ride in very light wind and up to some 18+ m/s. Board specs: lenght 325 cm , vol. 160 L. It have a dagger, so no problem, when ride in offshore and wind drops down. The mast track was a weak point, original pin-locking system is unsafe and i rebuild it. Now there is Streamlined two bolt tendon system and it working well with original pedal adjust system. The board is really easy in waterstart too, it have a long tail, so just put a board tail under the boom and your rig it's already half out of water. The sail i use here is A.R.T. Fun Wing 5.6 and the fin is Concrete Wave 24cm.
I had a few spin out-s, but it's my fault, just make too much pressure in backfoot.
In waterstart i had a first wrong angle against wind, but a little adjust and all ok.
So, if you like to own only one windsurfboard, this is the one you should have. Never let you down when wind condition quickly changes and you are far from coast.

Quite rough conditions! (I remember using the rear of the board to help getting the sail out of the water. Especially a 10.4m on a T-Rex. That was a hell of a rig to uphaul!) 🤙

Yes, there was a pretty choppy and windy condition, but here is again oldschool board works perfect. Going like a train straight forward. In this condition doing a waterstart i go in footstraps, when im still in water or sometimes i put just backfoot only in strap. Frontfoot in that case is in board centerline, because then board is in level and when i power up a sail and get out of water, then board going straight and not turn in up or downwind. Doing this way it helps to prevent fly over board nose too, and you can accelerate planing much faster. I have biggest sails a 10.0 sq. just not needed any bigger sail by now. Actually i have two 10.0 sq sails, but both are for different purpose and board. One sail NS Warp 2004 is Formula sail and second is ART Ellipse Race sail. Main difference is in shape. Formula sail have a boom head place much higher, so i use there a longer harness lines, because i ride with seat harness. In Race sail can more relax and ride hours without being exhausted.

But here is comment again, hopefully it's now reach you.
Hi Alan ! Wing Foiling is pretty new area in sailing sports, but i know, how good you are actually in Windsurfing. Younger windsurfers can only ride new large boards, but when i give sometimes to try some 90'-s slalomboard most of my friends asking "how you ride with this tihing" ?
Maybe you like to share in your channel some tips & tricks how to properly ride an oldschool boards ? By the way, i have an same series Neil Pryde board what you use in 90' -s.
