The book that comes with this deck explains everything. It even breaks down where the cards are. Different Museums and private collectors. Definitley read the booklet. It gives amazing card descriptions and meanings and reversals as well. I had a hard time shuffling this deck.
Great review, as usual. I have this deck, too, but I haven't played with it yet. My husband watched this video with me. Like me, he loves your accent. But our last name is Murphy so...Irish!
The original cards, as you know, were hand-painted and decorated with gold and silver leaf, so I doubt they were played with very much. I'd say they were always intended to dazzle and impress people with their sumptuousness. As to comparisons with other versions, beware of buying the Il Meneghello version now. I received a deck from them yesterday and was very disappointed. They're not printed any differently to the US Games version now. No metallic ink, no shimmer, No lustre. Just flat printed images - not luxurious at all as they evidently used to be, but the price the same.
That's great to know thank you. You'd expect that luxurious shimmer for the price. I'm sorry you had a disappointment. Yes you can imagine people passing them around and admiring them.
@@HazelJaneTarot Here's are links to two videos I've done discussing the cards I spoke if above. I'd very much like to hear your impressions. ruclips.net/video/rFyWVyYp4pA/видео.html ruclips.net/video/p51-OcBaC-w/видео.html

Was very disappointed they changed the visuals of tower and devil. Won't be buying it anymore.
