What if i can't really tighten my top buckle almost at all, but literally everything else fits just fine? (I can buckle maybe 3 -4 clicks) Worried I might torque the buckle and rip it back out through the cinch during a landing if I lean my shin too far forward
Tighten every fastener on your skates as much as you feel comfortable with. And if you buy new frames, they usually come with wall spacers and wheel spacers, so use the hardware that comes with your frames and metal buckles are usually a bit noisy. I run plastic buckles on my Mesmers.
Intuition liner noise? You mentioned waxing, like the cuff of the aggressive skate you put on in the video. Really, wax the outer surface of the liner or did I misunderstand? Thanks for always great content!
Excellent topic. I actually moved my main setup to aome THEM 908 Sean Darsts and I can confirm that there are A LOT of squeaky noises from both the cuff and soul plate, compared to the silent (and now broken) K2 Unnaturals. What sort of material would you recommend glueing to the soul plate? Thin rubber/neoprene or anything better? Have a great day 🤘🏻
USD carbons have this foam glued to the carbon boot, the iqon have it glued to the soulplates i think because of popularity of "wizard frames" mount to the boot without the soulplates, and the Seba dont have this foam ;)
I've put abs foam in my Tim frankens sandwiched between the shell and the soulplate.. You just have to trim it quite well so it doesn't show around the sides.. I guess carbon boots would be the same👍Thanks Ivo👏
nice one! gonna try on my fifth elements, now waiting for some fr1 deluxe to arrive!, is the 45dgree buckle the one that may come a little loose and sound or both? thanx again for the be safe blading tips, allready waiting for the next vid mate!
usd carbon and cj has foam on the bottom of the boot to eliminate sound
Noisy, not nosy... 😂
The skates are noisy because they keep gossiping....
Finally a tutorial about how to deal with nosy skates. I have a pair that can never mind their own business. 😒
Oops, haha fixed ;)
Thanks.

that should not happen. 3-4 clicks is enough.
You can always buy a longer buckle though!

you can wax the liner, but also the shell underneath the cuff often is what makes the noise
Offtopic, but... Which wheel do you rainskate with?
Undercover Team or Rollerblade Hydrogen are the best wheels, in the rain or not in the rain. A Good wheel is a good wheel.
My one regret is that I have but one like to give

any fabric will do. if you have all the options then a 2-3mm piece of EVA foam would be best I think.

correct!

good to hear!
My cuff bolt has a solid head. I can't take it off to deal with the squeaking noise T.T
aah that makes it more complicated for sure. maybe waxing the liner will solve something.
Not Ivo getting a haircut 😢
haha it will grow again. dont worry
Intuitions like to be noisy.
You can wax cuff part of the liner or attachment, or wax inside the boots;) problem solved like in these razors from video :)
correct!
Thank you! 😊
You're welcome 😊
