Before this guitar was started, I made a trip to the Dutch Archtop Guitar Museum in Dalfsen, Netherlands to make plans of a 1934 Gibson L5. This guitar, in particular, was important, as in ~1985 Ken Parker x-braced the soundboard, as well as reshaped the back and neck. In 2003, Ken Parker revolutionized the archtop guitar with his adjustable neck system. I was introduced to this neck system by one of my tutors from Newark College - Jamie Swannell of Swannell guitars. With some guidance from him over the past few years, I have developed a cosmetically similar but technically different version of his system. My goal with this guitar was to blend traditional aesthetic and modern innovations. This video is the result of four months of work; I hope you enjoy it!

Jamie Swannell for keeping me sane and pointing me in the right direction with the adjustable mechanism. Jamie makes some of the most elegant and nuanced (something I know nothing about) guitars I've ever seen and I highly recommend checking out his work!

i'm surprised it only took 37 minutes and 10 seconds to build this guitar, i imagined it would take much longer, i'm going to get started building my own workshop now, this is so encouraging.
Seguramente tardo más, esto sería como un resumen más o menos de cómo construyo la guitarra

It took twice faster for me on 2X playback speed. ))

I have been playing the guitar for over 50 years and I still get excited when I see a work of Art being created. I can't wait to hear, I hope, the beautiful music that will compliment the beauty of the Craftsmanship. Thank you for sharing a much needed journey right now. Bless you...I love the music and the soulful sound. Thank you again.....
I've been building guitars for decades and have seen builds on RUclips forever...this guy takes the cake hands down...BOOM.
Fine luthier skills with ingenious design and metal working.
Stanley Cup of guitar builds right here!
So right away you gotta call tis guys work "hockey equipment"?
That sunburst is as beautiful as I've ever seen.
This video is pretty much ASMR for guitarist
Was going to write “One of the most inspiring videos on RUclips“ until around the last five minutes. That’s when I realised that there’s no competition whatsoever. Absolutely stunning. No further comment necessary or possible.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow! Impressive. Watching and make that tail piece by hand was something else. This guy has skills that extend far beyond woodworking and lutherie.
The level of craftsmanship is just breathtaking. What an instrument, if I could afford it I’d order one right now.
Dude! This craftsmanship is Mind Blowing!!! A luthier, a machinist and an artist . Hats off to you sir!.
สวัสดี
Absolutely AMAZING! The machining you did is incredible!
wow, this guy makes a new age STRADIVARIOUS, PHENOMENAL
Outstanding, I totally enjoy watch acoustic guitars being made, just so much talent is needed
As soon as I saw the pic my first thought was Parker's masterpiece Olive Branch. Well done sir and available for almost a tenth of the price of an Olive Branch. Very, very impressive. Keep up the great luthiery.
Wow! If anyone wants to see how a Master Luthier works, just watch this video. Amazing craftsmanship. I would have enjoyed hearing that beautiful guitar player for longer. Thanks
Absolutely beautiful. Mr. Parker has been building these funny adjustable necks for a while. He uses Carbon Fiber. Man it turned out beautiful and sounds great. Good job young man. 👍🇺🇸
Wow! Loved the color gradient and the shellac finishing!!! 🖤🖤🖤
never seen anything like this, and it was a joy to watch.
One of the most beautifully made guitars I've seen in a very, very long time.
What a beautiful instrument and this video is very well produced. The precision woodworking and machining skills displayed are incredible. Cheers to you! Thanks for sharing!
Wow...... I am in awe of your patience and concentration skills.....thanks so much
Love the construction. Also, I think that's a very simple & pretty tail piece. Gorgeous finish 😍👌🔥
Absolutely gorgeous- I love the function over form design. Too many makers forget that it needs to be played, not just look cool.
So Priceless
I think I'll be dreaming about that guitar tonight
I watch a lot of videos on RUclips but this one is the best of all. I admire your efforts in filming this and showing all the tools and steps. You are a creative and devoted craftsman with amazing talents. You put your heart and soul in it. Great presentation. Thank you for sharing.
This was pretty incredible to watch. Never saw a neck mounted quite like that to the body. I honestly didn't expect to to play or sound like it does. Well done.
It so beautifuly handmade done!
every detail was well thought out, a masterpiece created by its master 👌
That is absolutely gorgeous! All the time and effort put into crafting that really shows. Well done!
So pretty, deserves it's own channel.
When I went to school studying computer programming people thought I was crazy for sitting at a computer for 6 hours or more at a time without a break. Watching you make this guitar makes me understand how others felt about me. The patients you have making this guitar is something that I don't think I can sit and do. Don't get me wrong, I own more guitars that I should own but making an acoustic guitar would be way down my list of things to make. But, I really liked watching you make this guitar and I now have a very good appreciation for the amount of work it takes to make one. Thank you for showing how you did it. I enjoyed it.
Looks like you made a wonderful instrument. I’m not totally convinced about the aesthetics of the adjustable neck, but I’m sure, when you have gone through the troublesome ordeal of playing an instrument not properly adjusted, you will learn to appreciate it. Very inventive! Well done!
I clap my hands, and bow my head ..what a wonderfull build and an amazing end-result..looks good sounds good thx for your masterclass..
Truly a beautiful thing ... I must admit I did not expect such excellent results, both in design, finish, and sound.
So I can build this in 37 minutes and 20 seconds “right let’s get started” seriously what a craftsman thanks for sharing.
it takes a lot more that 37 minutes
konungr Studios it was a pun on the length of the video only, I attempted my own build for a bit of fun and it took me 3 months and resembled a car crash, I gave up and play professionally made guitars and watch theses videos and dribble.

Wow. Absolutely beautiful guitar. Every detail in this build is perfect. As soon as I saw that burst finish pop after the clear coat my jaw dropped. I watched the whole thing before I read the description and my exact thoughts were "this is the perfect blend of modern and traditional". So you nailed it! Can't wait for your next build!
An absolute pleasure watching you create that masterpiece.
Bravo Sir.
Сколько нужно терпения и точности , чтобы сотворить такое чудо !
Настоящий мастер ! Спасибо ! 🖤💙❤
Могу только догадываться сколько такая красота будет стоить .
The most beautifully made guitar I have seen ever built. True craftsmanship. Bravo!
Hands up everyone that now feels totally inadequate after seeing this guys talent.

I was once gonna build a banjo but what's the point?🤔
Yep
What an amazing video and the elegance of that guitar is unmatched by your skill. Thank you.
Fifteen years ago, I designed a guitar. A semi-hollow electric, carved top and back, thin body, all of it either mahogany or ebony. Built it from scratch over nine weeks, living upstairs from the shop at a Luthier school in deep, rural Canada.
.
There were maybe seven of us, students, a little international gang, learning from three professionals. You built what you wanted to build and your term started whatever day life landed you there. Once there, you just had to show up - Monday thru Friday, nine to five. Stay for a month, a year, two.
.
No classes there, just hands-on learning. It wasn't free, naturally, you paid to be there, and for food and for the hardware on your builds. But a place to stay was part of the deal, and the wood you used.
.
I left knowing enough to make it A to Z on a solo build, but never quite got around to it. I didn’t intend to sit and intently watch this video thru - it was recommended by RUclips, a channel I didn’t know. But as I watched, I realized I could still follow each step.
.
This guy is amazing. Obviously. My tastes and skills in other areas made me wish for maybe a touch of red dye mixed in to counteract the green hues in the sunburst, especially with gold hardware - thinking wood binding would have been kind of cool, that some sort of visual cue or branding would have visually-completed the headstock and therefore guitar - and finally, that, near the end, a stronger player would have better celebrated this magnificent guitar, this precision instrument with an awesome, if curiously dense, bridge (picture how a violin’s bridge is more air than bridge, and a sultry, thick piece like this in ebony feels, at first glance, like it could be transferring more energy as a scalloped or semi-composite piece).
.
Really great experience watching this thru. Thank you.
That sound is out of this world. Dude make a video just playing guitars
Very nice guitar
Absolutely beautiful!! I admire beautiful hand-crafted work and the skill of craftsmen, and you've blown me away with both!
Superb craftsmanship and attention to detail - totally justifies the 3m views !
Wow that was amazing. I especially like how he eye balls so much perfectly. I need a template for everything.
it's incredible to think that at one time all guitars were made this way. Great to see someone with such dedication and skill. I hope you have an apprentice to pass all this on to. Respect to you, chap.
Respect indeed.
Now I’m not a tea drinker but I saw this and thought what
the heck.
A cup of tea, warm slippers and before I knew it my tea was
stone cold.
Nicely done gonna subscribe in hopes of seeing more.
This made my heart happy. Watching you work is Watching perfection. I build guitars and I thought about this. What an amazing way to progress the art.
Absolutely perfect! Your love for the details is breath taking, as much as your precision...

I highly recommend using a drinking straw to clean up the glue squeeze out from around the bracing. It leaves a very clean edge. Fantastic build btw!
And, I thought that I alone had discovered this trick; also - a little pinch at the straw's tip provides a "V" shape to get in closer when needed...
Don't drink glue, it's bad for you.
@@hoodoo-man no of course not . its sniffing glue, it should not be used for drinking

you know i didn't think i'd watch this whole thing. I'm not sure if i love the lack of music... but somehow it's more relaxing? I'm confused but i want more.
Dude, your work is beyond incredible, I don't have the words to describe...
Now, this guy is what I would call a true; old style, craftsman who really takes pride in his work. It’s beautiful, just beautiful!
LOL I totally love the sneaky sound effects you put at random moments.
Oh yeah! I was thinking something bad was going to happen!
12:05 thought it meant he made a mistake.
Watching this makes me feel like continuing on my current build :D
WOW!❤
This is most inspiring video for me and for those who love Guitar.Sound (ASMR) of this video is next level.I loved it.
Thank you @Cranmer Guitars for making this video.🙏😊
Bravo! 👏👏👏👏
It's great to know there are still some craftsmen among us. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely incredible work! A true "once in a lifetime" guitar.
!
When normal guitar making is just too easy for you.....
Amazing vid! Thanks! Love that vise.
Thank you!
Absolutely stunning workmanship what great talent. Thanks for making this video to give us a better understanding to what is really involved in making such a beautiful piece of art.
I’ve seen Japanese builders American, German, French and even from Indonesia but never I saw so many different skills coming from just one guy. Thank you mister Cramer for sharing this beautiful video with me. 👍👍
You’ve made so many little improvements and innovations since the last video of yours that I watched! You’re really kaizan-ing the whole process as well as the end products themselves!

Amazing range of skills employed in just one build, incredibly interesting and satisfying to watch. Do you also make violins, because you should!
Ingenious construction and wonderful craftsmanship - sounds great too.
Totally awesome presentation. Great filming. Loved the way you finished the video. Class!
Wow, The result is perfect, thanks

Прекрасная работа, ролик подробный, спасибо.
Wow, amazing craftmanship, not just on the woodwork but on metal work as well. Beautifull piece.
We never got the hoverboards and flying cars that we were promised in " the future " ....but this is next best thing !
Wow that is an amazing build and was truly satisfying to watch. I could only imagine have the tools to make something like that. If i may ask, why no truss rod cover or head-stock logo?
Great work! I built an archtop a long time ago but I put about 1000 holes in the top and back so I didn’t have to carve as much. I also did the parallel top bracing too. That was a great reminder of what it’s like. Love your patience and diligence.🤐
I really admire your patients and handwork.

Guy at the Hardware store: How many clamps do you want?
Cranmer Guitars: Yes.
Robert Rodríguez clamps are to the woodworking world as shoes are to the fashion world. Just sayin’
you are a artist bro
Beautiful work and design!
Love the way you glue your binding. Never seen it done like that before
Шедевр!
Как говорится - мое почтение!
Looks and sounds incredible. Thanks for the video!
Absolutely incredible craftsmanship and a completely stunning result. Thanks for sharing..............I should have waited 30 sec before posting until I heard it! That was the real treat. Great tone.
I love this, but my favorite part is seeing what t-shirt he's wearing next.
Possibly Taj Farrant...
this guy actually has extra time in his life ..
I'm pretty sure making guitars is his job
Acho que foi o instrumento de cordas com as cores e o acabamento mais bonito que ja vi. Excelente trabalho.
We thank you for this long and precise work , congrats ...
This is the kind of guitar I want to buy, I've seen how it's made from conception to birth. I swear I want to buy that! Now my question is HOW MUCH?
£4000 ;)
@@CranmerGuitars ouch!
@@CranmerGuitars: Seems a bit steep since it took only 37 minutes to make, lol.
@@CranmerGuitars .... I'd say worth every pound .... Hand crafted .... Beautiful look and sound .... I'd pay it without a doubt 😁
