I needed this message today! I am overweight due to health issues that I’m working on reversing, but I do eat what I shouldn’t eat. I don’t overeat but I do struggle with food since going off carnivore. Been praying for strength in this area! I am a minimalist so grateful for that.
Binge-watching social media, videos, etc... is also a form of gluttony.

Thankyou heidi, this was a great discussion. Something that stands out to me as well is the consumption of entertainment, so many people work out how they can fit their faith round their social life and entertainment. They over indulge on tv, social engagements and social media, living vicariously through other people they follow online.
As a jw we do not share the same beliefs but I love your content. Thankyou for taking the time to make it

We are sanctified. We are being sanctified. I shall be satisfied with His likeness when i awake. The Answer is Jesus. The good work HE has begun in us, HE WILL complete/perform/perfect until the day of Christ Jesus. Just eat the Word. Jesus IS the Word.

I am still struggling with food but thank God that I no linger crave diet or any sodas. I have one cup of coffee each day. It is a struggle but I know God can help me get through this difficulty. Thank you for always speaking the truth, God Bless you and your family!!!

Thank you for this video! I really appreciate your willingness to speak the truth. I do hope that people watching feel conviction, not shame. We are all sinners and the food industry, for example, is designed to get us eating as much as possible. There is science behind why we are driven to have one more drink, one more donut, one more beautiful purse. I believe God is the path to healing and overcoming these temptations, but no one should feel shame for having gotten wrapped up in them. We just need to turn to Jesus and ask Him to guide us towards healing. He has the power to overcome the strongholds in our life. We cannot do it without Him.
I appreciate your comment. I have been ashamed of myself for most of my life in various areas of sanctification of our human body. It is not until recently I've been letting the Lord's truth lead the efforts to "better" myself rather than using shame as my motivation. I'm grateful that God looks at the heart!

When we came for Jesus, we usually tend to change our addictions for others, sometimes equally nocives. But Jesus everyday is perfecting us, and I understand that a prayer life is essential for listening the Holy Spirit! Very clarifier video, God bless you!
My area of slave is entertainment....specifically soap opera viewing. I grew up with mom calling them "stories ". Everything in a soap grieve the Holy Spirit because nothing honors God. It glorified sin not Jesus! Yet the flesh wants to see what is going to happen with the story line. The struggle is real 😢

This title hits me hard. I was abused as a child i was 9 or 10 when it happened. I wasnt fat i wasnt over weight. I was a normal sized kid. Then i started to gain weight didnt know i was being i was a kid. Didnt know i was eating threw it. The people in the town i lived didnt help im a light skinned hispanic i look white in a native town. I was bullied, called fat, discriminated against. My family didnt help i guess they tried but not really. They put me on different diets. I was always hungry and would sneak food. My family never taking me to a doctor to be put on the correct plan for my age. I have suffered depression for most of my life. I have had a bad relationship with food my whole life. I am a christian a true christian believer of Jesus Christ. I am not a horder but a crafter and i have a lot of paper. Notebooks and craft i have lots perhaps im borderline. But i am a christian. I do not drink. It makes my stomach hurt from the first drink. I have drank alcohal though at different times in my life. Even in the past when i was young and got sick. I am still a christian. Not a great one but one who will meet God in heaven. Sorry for rant but the implacation in your question really did hit a nerve.
May the Lord Jesus help you heal your childhood trauma. That's often where our addictions come from.🙏💕🕊
P.S: have you tried praying and fasting for a breakthrough? It has so much power against demonic strongholds !
