Hiking Through the Snowy Hills

A December hike through the snowy hills to the southwest of Kamloops. I wore microspikes on my boots and hiked in sunny-foggy-snowy-frosty conditions. I continue to hike every day, adjusting to weather and trail conditions, as needed. Always great to be out rambling.

Nice! I did the deep lake route and went down the pipe
line route for a few extra km around the same time. Saw 3 whitetail deer bounding through the grasslands which was a little rare . Also bought a pair of micro-spikes a few weeks ago for the first time. Almost mandatory this time of year and this close to town where snowshoes aren't quite needed. Therapy for the soul getting out there. Thanks for posting !

Yes, it was nice. I wear microspikes in winter which go over my boots. The cleats cut into the ice and make more noise. Most days at this time are spikes days.
