Once you are given rectangular stress components ( Sigma x, sigma y ,Sigma z) Then you can calculate sigma 1,2,3 by using 3 stress invariant rule and cubical equation hence after you solve the 3 stress invariant substitute in cubical equation and after th equation you'll get 3 roots which will be in the form of sigma 1,2,3
