The thing is Haters forget quickly. As back in the 80s bands like Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Def leppard, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica and many many more where commercial. As they got played on mainstream radio. Rock have always needed bands like Nickelback to bring in young fans who hear it in the mainstream. That's what music should be. It's only the fat cat asshole radio station that dont want to play rock & metal. As they just want to play payed to play pop artists and not choose the music they like. Like back in the 80s, 90s. The haters dont like Nickelback because is cool to not like them. Not because their music isn't Awesome. I will always stand my ground and support Nickelback as their music speaks to people.

I will never forget how I felt the first time I heard this song as I sat in my chair and put on my headphones and made sure that’s how I heard it for the first time with no outside influences or opinions. Just me myself and the song with outside sound canceling so all I was hearing was “Song On Fire”. The actual feeling I had I still can’t exactly explain but it was true gold and pleasure and enjoyment. It instantly impressed me and I knew I already loved it.

The hate they have received over the years is simply publicity others would "kill" for. They sell out arenas around the world and are on their 9th album. I love everything from slipknot to megadeth, parkway drive to lamb of god etc. But Nickelback are a good band that actually make some really amazing songs. Far Away will always be one of the most beautiful songs I know. Feed the Machine was highly impressive too.

I like Nickelback, have several of their albums including Curb and can thus say that, from some point on, every album contains the same types of songs. Which I like, as I said, I don't want to complain. But saying one song is better than the other although they're completely the same is a bit weird.
