Great video, thank you. I found mine at walmart last year, almost completely out of her dry soil, flopping about. She's come back beautifully since I repotted her and she's tripled in size. I LOVE watching her new leaves come in, neon white.
Best logical and informed video I've seen yet on the Birkin! Thank you so much! May I suggest some closer visuals while you're discussing some specifics (e.g. talking about the roots or soil). Your Birkin is GORGEOUS!!! 👏♥️😲
Seen these at my local nursery for $40, and at some Lowe’s for $20 They’re so pretty I should have snagged one. Also, the meditation music ✨*chefs kiss*
I just picked up one 2 days ago , I Dnt knw anything about plants so I'm just learning. I do not have a humidifier as of yet , so untill I do, is putting a cup of water beside it ok ? I was debating if I should repot but it's still winter so I think that's a bad idea. The leaves are starting to Curl under a bit so I'm worried about that. I DnT want to water, as the soil feels ok. Is there something I can do to make sure I keep this plant in good shape?? I really love it.
I’m repotting mine I’ve had it for about 2 months and although her roots are not coming through the bottom she’s in a terracotta pot and dries out quickly. She’s also droopy and is sprouting 3 new leaves
I've lost my Birkin to root rot, so sad. When I got it it was bone dry so I gave it a good soak. Probably too good, because I noticed it was planted in super compact soil mixed with peat moss. Not good. I did get a new one today, and I re potted it immedaitely. Root rot is not fun, so make sure there is ample drainage and that the soil is not wet at any time.
I just picked mine up 2 days ago... Is it safe to give it new fresh soil or should I wait a few weeks ??? The soil seems damp however I'm worried about root rott. And some tips are starting to slightly turn under
i got one at lowes! just wondering - i think i see some white spots/dots on some of your older greener leaves. Ive noticed the same thing on mine and was worried it was insect damage, what do you think?
Another very informative video. I didn't know that they are toxic. Does this toxicity apply to all philodendron or just the birkin? I have a Brazil cutting that I want to give my nephew, but he has a cat that loves to chew houseplants.
Thanks, Susan. The heart leaved philodendron is toxic, so I would assume the “brasil” philodendron is also. If you ever aren’t sure you can look up plant toxicity on aspca’s website
"PARDON THAT LEAF" - That's one polite plant boy!
Love the Birkin. Mine is in the middle of sprouting leaves it’s giving me 5 new leaves in a month. GREAT TIPS💚
I just got my first one today and I'm so excited 😁
Your eyebrows look so nice. Thanks for the tips. Got one on a fling today

I'm a first-time philodendron owner and this was definitely helpful! Thank you ^^
One of my favorite philodendron. Thanks for sharing. 👍🔔😉
Love the Birkin it only has two leaves with stripes, the others are plain green or green with yellow spots or blotches. Thank you for your help.💞🌈
