    Brilliant bike,living in Scarborough did many trips to Bristol in one,250 miles in five and hours including two short stope.Very reliable and sure footed,most of the time got at least 80 mpg.Can’t wait to get the new 350.

      Did you get the 350? I'm thinking of selling my Triumph Speed Triple and getting one of these SH300i for a bit of fun. Is the 350 much better?

    One of the few UK reviews of the SH300 i've been able to find - thanks! Like a lot of people, I'm considering this vs the Beverley 350. When I go onto Modern Vespa forum, seems like people have numerous minor issues with the Beverley - whereas the SH300 seems to be bullet proof in comparison. Makes me favour the Honda. What was your experience with Beverley? Cheers

      Gary Oliver Hello, I only had the beverly 2 months before it was stolen. I didn't have any problems when I had it though & I commuted 200 miles a week on it. You have to make sure any vehicle you get is well maintained in general & you should be fine. The sh300i I have has high mileage & is still going strong thus far. Remember that you can always change if you don't like or are having problems with the BV or SH. I've owned two SH300i & one beverly. One thing with the SH300i is they get through clutch plates so I'm told & I did have to replace on my last one which costed £500.

    Hi Daniel I am thinking of getting one of these bikes. I'm 5'11 with size 10 feet. Do you think I will fit on it ok? The footwell looks a bit small. Thanks again for an excellent, detailed review.

    • @fazer12779
      @fazer12779  4 года назад +3

      roberto c You’ll be able to ride this no problem. I’m 6ft & size 11 & had no issues. It doesn’t have a seat lumbar support like the bv350 does, so you are able to slide back on the seat to get more comfortable if needed. The footwell is a bit snug but it’s a scooter at the end of the day.

      Hello, it’s a good scooter as it’s nimble in traffic & good on fuel.
      I don’t have it anymore but I’ve owned two of them. The suspension wasn’t great in my opinion but I’ve had lots of bikes to compare it to. The Piaggio Beverly 350 is better in my opinion as it has more under seat storage & it’s faster.
      The Yamaha Xmax 400 is worth looking at also depending on your budget.
      If you’re set on a SH300i just get one with the lowest mileage & service history.
      Also fit a tracker.

      Kirby Kirkbride Hello, I traded it in some time back. Thieves will steal anything they can, so just fit a scorpion tracker as they’ll track it as soon as it moves. It is a great scooter if you can tolerate the front end looks. The suspension & performance plus looks are better on the Piaggio Beverly though.

    • @fazer12779
      @fazer12779  3 года назад +1

      Hello Pawel, I’d probably say the Honda SH because the the Beverly has a seat lumbar bulster which makes you sit more forward than I’d like. The SH has a smoother seat design where you can slide back more.

      Abdul Muizz Hello, definitely not. You need to have a full motorcycle license to ride a 300cc in the UK. You’ll need to do a CBT test first & then you can ride up to a 125cc around with L plates & Insurance. Do things the right way & you won’t have any problems. :)

    hi, do you find this a better scooter to the beverley 350?

    • @fazer12779
      @fazer12779  7 лет назад +1

      Matthew Rauch It depends on what you're judging it on. The beverly is faster top end & has more under seat storage. The SH speedo is in mph which is obviously handy where as the BV is in kilometres. The SH hasn't got as much of a seat hump as the BV which is better. Also the SH feels slightly narrower, so filtering through traffic is easier (i was in traffic with a bv this morning) This is being fussy though. You'll be happy with either. Also the SH has less vibration than the BV.

    At five minutes twenty you state that there is no 12v socket - there definitely is as I own the same scooter and model year - it’s right at the back of that cubbyhole

    • @fazer12779
      @fazer12779  5 лет назад +1

      Thomas Oneill No, on my scooter it wasn’t spec’d when ordering when new. My scooter had only a blanking panel where the 12v socket would be. My other black SH300i did (like yours) have the 12v socket.
      In other words some do & some don’t. Mine didn’t in this case.

      i dont know what this guy is talking about, you dont need to replace the ignition system if you lose your keys. You just get spare keys, they cost about 50 quid, as long as you have the red master key you just need to "re-code" the new keys to the immobiliser.
