Thanks for watching :) most buildings at UCSD have both res halls and apartments and house all grade levels. Generally, freshman live in the res halls and sophomores+ live in apartments. For example, there are 4 res halls on my floor and 4 apartments, so my neighbors are sophmores.
Depending on what type of food you get, it can range anywhere from $5-$12 on average. It's usually cheaper to buy food from a grocery store and cook meals yourself, but that's not always convenient.
