Exploring BANGKOK by CANAL BOAT on a BUDGET

- How to travel on the Khlongs (canals) of Bangkok by local river boat transport. It's cheap, fun and an exciting way to explore the lesser known parts of Bangkok. For way less than $1 you can hop on board and explore Bangkok's canals.
We took a boat from Panfa Pier to Pratuman Pier along the Saen Saep Klong for only 14 Baht each. We jumped ship there and explored that part of Bangkok, eating the most delicious and cheap street food and walking the impressive Lumphini park. A great day out in Bangkok.

What a great (and frugal) way to get a different perspective on the city!
Hello Carolina! It was a fun opportunity to see a different side of Bangkok, and was such a great way to travel around 🤗😁
Great video.
Thank you for the lovely comment, Elizabeth 🤗🙏
Thank you Lee and Mandy! Love your videos but they always make me so hungry!😂. I hope you're both doing well!
Hello MyDogsmells 😁🤗 This video made us hungry as well... such delicious food to be found at such wonderfully low prices in Bangkok 😋🥳
I only had 10 days in Thailand at the end of 1986. It was so different then and i went to Chaing Mai Pai, mai hon son. It was amazing then far less touristic but there was khao san rd which i stayed in a tiny room, like a cupboard for 100 baht a night.
We remember those pokey little plywood rooms too although we first arrived on the scene a little later in the early 90's.
Hard to find a room under 400B now but still pretty reasonable for 2. 👍😁
I remember being here, I love the way you film and the breakdown of your spending in always very informative ❤
Thank you so much. It's a great way to spend a day in Bangkok. 😍
Great to see other places in Bangkok, entices me to explore a little further rather than just stopping in the same place in this massive city. Best thing about Thailand, food every 10m and so cheap. I don't mind the small serves, just means I can have mini meals, not just 3 per day!
We like your way of thinking, Cindy! It's so wonderful to graze in Thailand... such delicious food and drink for such reasonable prices! 🤗🥰
That boat DOES look fun!
It was brilliant... and such a great price 👏😁
I like your vlogging stye showing people even with limited budget, you still can enjoy traveling!
Thank you so much 🙏 We try to highlight to people that it is possible to travel and enjoy it without having to spend much money. 😁👍. We are glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Amazing lake dweller!
You say amazing... I say blimmin' scary! No lakeside nap for me that day 😨🤣😁
@@FrugalTravellers 😂 I don’t blame you! They were amazing from the safe side of the lens.
The only thing I could think of the reason your stewed pork dish was smaller than the guy's next to you was that yours was red meat without the skin whereas the Thai guy's dish included the fatty skin. The pork skin is cheaper than the red meat.
Ah, that makes so much sense. Thank you so much for sharing this information, I really appreciate it.
The Erawan Shrine. Lumpini Park was once the site of a good night market. Now being redeveloped as residences or hotels. I wouldn't be lying under anywhere in Lum pini park because of the water monitors. A bite from them can finalise your holiday.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I think Bangkok has improved in many ways since I first visited in 1993... but the food is just as delicious as it always was 🤗😁 ~ Mandy
Fantastic video.
Thank you so much, Bobby 🙏😁
