You missed out the latest induction of French rafale multirole fighter in the Indian Air Force. Indian SU 30 MKI es are upgraded with advanced AESA radars and indigenous Astra bvraams. It is a capable 4th gen fighter and will go toe to toe with Chinese flankers. But French rafales are latest 4.5 gen fighter with advanced avionics and electronic warfare capabilities. It will absolutely dominate Chinese flankers though will struggle against their J 20 5th gen stealth fighters ( if they are actually stealthy )
Recognizing reality and understanding the development of Chinese fighter jets and engines, India and China are not in the same era. Including the development of space rockets and rocket engines.

India has built new indigenous Danush artillery guns and has 2 aircraft carriers indigenously manufactured and has 3 arihant class nuclear submarine and has both Kamov and apache attack helicopters. Also its indigenously manufacturing 5th gen fighters like AMCA. India is the only country which can bring US and Russia together against China remember Putin might not tell you in front of others but he considers China bigger threat than US and ballistic missiles and nukes are placed near chinese border not Europe and if chances are if US gives favourable deal to Russia it will abandon China. For that to Happen India should grow stronger and just grow and grow and give better alternative to Russia than China.

Many fail to understand that defense spending includes pensions overwhelmingly. That said, India has miles and miles to go to catch up with China. China's defense capability increased exponentially because of their economic prowess.

I think the figures you quoted for nuke submarines are incorrect $2.9b for one sub 😳 hard to believe. This $2.9b figures are not available on SM nor government website.. last budget said just over $70.b for defence not 81b.

The budget allocation is further divided to Capital and Revenue funds. Capital for purchases and revenue for salaries.
- Capital funds are not only for purchase of weapons, equipment and vehicles including aircrafts and ships etc. The same fund is also used for sustenance from buildings, food, clothes, stationary etc.
- Revenue funds are used for Salary and Pensions, majority of which actually goes less to the soldiers but more to all the civil defence personnels, civilians working in multiples organisations like the MES, DRDO, CDA etc etc. Heard about NFU? The civil defence guys have NFU too.
So, if you look at the budget allocation by ratio of no of actual soldiers, the spending is much less when compared to other countries. Look at our neighbour Pakistan for example. What's the size of the Military and how much is the budget? They spend at least 5 times more.
This is a civilian who has given his deduction based on his research which is fair enough. In reality there has been no consideration for the technological aspects of Indias capabilities, and honestly speaking warfare has already advanced to a level where many of the conventional systems are now not effective any more and will soon be redundent. For example air craft carriers are becoming more vulnerable day be day due to various kinds of long distance hyper sonic missile systems etc, laser weapons systems, space weapons systems (India also has its own indipendent space capabilities). So yes to truly understand how advanced Indias capabilities are, these factors also need to be taken into consideration.
In the real war case scenario, the most important asset for the country is its relations and allies, in which India is undoubtably much stronger than any other country in the rank! Do let me know what you all think

Another reason we should remove Taj Mahal as the symbol of India is because the ruler who built it was a lustful man who killed her wife by making her pregnant many times. And after the completion of the work of tajmahal the Hindu people of India who built it, their hands were cut off and he was responsible for so much oppression of Hindu traditions .
