Love it on my lite as well. Best game on handheld, hands down. A marvel that all the content fits on a cartridge. I've played it on my PS4 but I'm gonna be honest and say I enjoy it more on my lite as I can literally play it anywhere and the quality is amazing. NOTHING has been removed. All NPCs, all quests, all monsters, items etc are here. All at 31.2 GBs. I bought a 256GB SD card as well.

Oh man, 30 fps is rough, it's gonna take some getting used to. It's totally worth it though. I can't believe a game like this is playable on what is basically a modern GameBoy.
It runs at 30 fps on all platforms (except from PC), and it usually has framerate issues in each one of them. Ps4 goes from 31 to 22 at times just like the Switch and that's understandable, because it is a fairly demanding game to run. However, the Switch's version framerate only got better with new patches and in update 3.6, you're given the option to turn off things like blur, motion blur, AA, sharpening, foliage, etc, making the Switch version one hell of a port. I've played the game first hand and i can totally say this game almost always runs at 30 fps.

Regular Switch is better. Just play this in handheld like you would be forced to do with a Lite and it'll be gorgeous. Regular has a bigger screen, longer battery life, and can easily replace the joycons if you start experiencing drift. Lite has none of that.

Playing for 2-3 max hours is Ok, I havnt played for much longer. Maybe take a break. Graphics wise its not as good as PS5, Series X or even PS4, but its not too bad on a small screen - still playable and has mostly all the content and features of a full Witcher 3 experience.

I do think the switch could have more graphical performance. Hence why I miss the pathway of the PSVita. The switch is a capable device. If they can import Skyrim for this handheld console I feel like doing this game should have been a breeze and yet they confirmed they had to downgrade the resolution to like 540p or so for the Nintendo lite versions in order to run relatively smoothly and even then it still is kinda choppy and blurry to me. I’m actually disappointed with this game on the switch. Literally only game I have that doesn’t run flawlessly including Skyrim and I feel like Skyrim is a far bigger game then Witcher 3 including with the DLC’s and that game runs perfectly and it doesn’t even look bad with the resolution and graphic quality like this game or be choppy so I don’t really get it. Dragon Quest is also a huge game with amazing graphics in my opinion and that game runs perfectly as well.

come get that’s an issue you should get repaired because it’s not normal. Joycon drift is very rare on the Lite with only a few known cases. My analogue sticks work fine in both TW3 & Overwatch with no drift at all.
i was facing the same decision but today i bit the bullet and got the v2. 200 is so close to 300 and i see myself still wanting a switch if i get the lite, but can easier make do with not having a lite if i get the switch. i spent way to much energy deciding though haha. hard choice.
If you don't see yourself using the dock mode, I'd recommend going with the lite. The lite is the superior model when it comes to handheld mode. It also feels better in the hand, but you can't go wrong with the V2 as well. With the V2 you get better battery life and a bigger screen, either way it all boils down to your preference and your lifestyle. I hope my opinion can help in your decision.
Portex Serious some switch games are worth the price (mario odyssey, zelda botw, pokemon, etc), though I agree with you that some games are way over the top when it comes to pricing.
i don't really think it's fair to compare the switch to phones since phones with comparable graphics and performance are in the 600-1000 dollar range. especially considering the switch has 3gb of ram for games. xbox and ps4 have 5gb and 6gb respectively.
But... You purchase a Console for the Exclusives, no? This game is Multiplatform. The Witcher 3's been out since 2015 and the GOTY Edition is dirt cheap for PS4/X1/PC. I love The Witcher 3 too, but you could have saved yourself some serious money there but, ok then.

Dude if you want pure gameplay and satisfaction every minute, then Souls series is for u. Try Dark souls series and Sekiro. Witcher 3 isn't hard but the ugly ass clunky controls makes the gameplay hard and awkward. It puts off a lot of true gamers cus wticher 3's gameplay suck ass. I finished the main story and didn't bother the dlc despite hearing lots of positive thoughts about it, cus the gameplay turned me off.

Just Some Dude On The Internet looks fine on PS4. Played it on both a high end PC and the PS4... graphics weren't massively different as PS4 is around medium, just 30 FPS vs 60.
Bendaak I actually played it on a PS4, regular not pro. Yeah it's not bad, its extremely well optimized and I'm used to low FPS. You could definitely tell in terms of textures. In relative, you can definitely notice it. I'm not fussy about graphics though, so it's fine.
All the people complaining just to let you know theres more to a game then "frame rates" people buy games to play believe it or not. People who own switches and majority of people on consoles are people who played games for the game not just because of what it looks like. Look at pong, I didn't see people back then going "look at the frame rate and the graphics" because back then people played games for enjoyment. I myself can also agree that if you are gonna brag about owning a pc because of your "amazing frame rates" and how you are a god over other consoles then seriously get a life, get off your high horse and just enjoy what you have. How to get this lighting?? My switch shows very dark in even morning and afternoon and also very less saturation, where the flowers shows very less color compared to this video..
Plz help me with the settings
Look up this video : Nintendo switch Witcher 3 update settings. Put in mind he was playing the expansion of blood and wine at the beginning which is mostly bright and colorful compared to the previous installment.

Playing for 2-3 max hours is Ok, I havnt played for much longer. Maybe take a break.
Graphics wise its not as good as PS5, Series X or even PS4, but its not too bad on a small screen - still playable and has mostly all the content and features of a full Witcher 3 experience.

I played this on PS4 with all the expansions for like 1000hrs but I bought the switch version for 60 dollars. Best game ever.
1000 hours!?!?! Yo I completed the entire game including dlc and found all collectables, did all side quests etc in only around 70 hours. Did you replay it multiple times??? Not judging. Just damn. Respect ma dude 😂👍

Idk if are my eyes but...seems a bit lagging. Honestly AC 3 and AC Rebel Collection runs better. I know they aren't comparable in terms of contents but merely in terms of fps looks like that
those games are far older and weaker in terms of gpu and ram demand

I own the Witcher 3 on switch and believe me it doesn't lag.maybe it's just the video format of youtube.viewing a screen through a screen often times does not represent how the game runs.a good example would be watching 60fps games on RUclips they don't do it justice

How many games at once you can have on Lite? 32GB (6,2GB for system) is not too much.
Obviously it depends on the specific games, but you are correct 32GB won't last long. However the switch supports external SD memory.

I do think the switch could have more graphical performance. Hence why I miss the pathway of the PSVita. The switch is a capable device. It can port alot of games, for a hefty performance and quality cost. But its not outstanding. Still. I do gotta respect the games that devs have worked hard to get on to such a device

If they can import Skyrim for this handheld console I feel like doing this game should have been a breeze and yet they confirmed they had to downgrade the resolution to like 540p or so for the Nintendo lite versions in order to run relatively smoothly and even then it still is kinda choppy and blurry to me. I’m actually disappointed with this game on the switch. Literally only game I have that doesn’t run flawlessly including Skyrim and I feel like Skyrim is a far bigger game then Witcher 3 including with the DLC’s and that game runs perfectly and it doesn’t even look bad with the resolution and graphic quality like this game or be choppy so I don’t really get it. Dragon Quest is also a huge game with amazing graphics in my opinion and that game runs perfectly as well.

come get that’s an issue you should get repaired because it’s not normal. Joycon drift is very rare on the Lite with only a few known cases. My analogue sticks work fine in both TW3 & Overwatch with no drift at all.
Best graphics on switch goes to Alien Isolation. Witcher 3 whilst pretty is way too low-res/blurry

i was facing the same decision but today i bit the bullet and got the v2. 200 is so close to 300 and i see myself still wanting a switch if i get the lite, but can easier make do with not having a lite if i get the switch. i spent way to much energy deciding though haha. hard choice.
V2 I have both
If you don't see yourself using the dock mode, I'd recommend going with the lite. The lite is the superior model when it comes to handheld mode. It also feels better in the hand, but you can't go wrong with the V2 as well. With the V2 you get better battery life and a bigger screen, either way it all boils down to your preference and your lifestyle. I hope my opinion can help in your decision.
Portex Serious some switch games are worth the price (mario odyssey, zelda botw, pokemon, etc), though I agree with you that some games are way over the top when it comes to pricing.

i don't really think it's fair to compare the switch to phones since phones with comparable graphics and performance are in the 600-1000 dollar range. especially considering the switch has 3gb of ram for games. xbox and ps4 have 5gb and 6gb respectively.

But... You purchase a Console for the Exclusives, no? This game is Multiplatform. The Witcher 3's been out since 2015 and the GOTY Edition is dirt cheap for PS4/X1/PC. I love The Witcher 3 too, but you could have saved yourself some serious money there but, ok then.

I tried this game on xbox one but it is so hard and the only rpg i have played has been destiny and i don’t know if i should give this game another chance, don’t like the long cutscenes ,and hard gameplay with griffin but other things are acceptable nit too difficult but long cutscenes and story make me waste too much time of my life when i want gameplay any tips anyone? Dude if you want pure gameplay and satisfaction every minute, then Souls series is for u. Try Dark souls series and Sekiro. Witcher 3 isn't hard but the ugly ass clunky controls makes the gameplay hard and awkward. It puts off a lot of true gamers cus wticher 3's gameplay suck ass. I finished the main story and didn't bother the dlc despite hearing lots of positive thoughts about it, cus the gameplay turned me off.

Just Some Dude On The Internet looks fine on PS4. Played it on both a high end PC and the PS4... graphics weren't massively different as PS4 is around medium, just 30 FPS vs 60.
Bendaak I actually played it on a PS4, regular not pro. Yeah it's not bad, its extremely well optimized and I'm used to low FPS. You could definitely tell in terms of textures. In relative, you can definitely notice it.
I'm not fussy about graphics though, so it's fine.

People who own switches and majority of people on consoles are people who played games for the game not just because of what it looks like. Look at pong, I didn't see people back then going "look at the frame rate and the graphics" because back then people played games for enjoyment.
