My gee. Yea mehn so that’s Becos at that stage I’m doing mix bus processing or mastering right. And I’m essentially affecting the whole record. And even tho I did that EQ move to target the kick, there’s still some bass frequencies there that would still get affected and I want that.
I enjoyed tf out of this post big homie. I usually end up turning off the Im pusher in my mastering chain because it changes the shape of my kick a lot.
The man which men have not know about only few. You my best and only utuber i believe 100/100 on tutorial. My question is this. Why isit that some people songs are just 3 MB or less but ours never go below 5 MB even when it is the same length
Been mixing and mastering since 2013. Mixed and mastered over 1k records. Learn and still learning from RUclips videos and everything I can find on the internet daily.
I do the Mastering after. I just leave it this way for the breakdown. But I like to master in the same session. Cos that way I can go back into my mix to adjust any changes that needs to be done quickly. However, some people do mix into their mastering chain and it works for them! My method is like a combination of both ways. you can try either way and see what works for you.
Do you turn down the fader of your fxs and also on the send level or do you just adjust the send levels alone. I hope I’m asking the question correctly 🙏
I only adjust the amount of send(send levels) according to how much of the Fx I want. But there’s no rule gee experiment and do whatever works for your record.
since your true peak in the master was 2.2 db, wont the song be turned down by streaming platforms? how do you overcome your song loudness being turned down
Unfortunately yes! And so will other songs. I find that it’s better to not bother about that. Cos if you master your songs to the specs that streaming services are demanding you’d quickly find out that your record will not compete with other songs on the platform. Personally I just try to find a good balance.
@@MixByBDor how'd you know I didn't do a low pass (correct term is High Pass btw) on the vocals? Incase you didn't notice, I did. With The C6 and The SSL Eq but I know you are talking about the first eq and I didn't it do it then cos there was no particular annoying rumble in the low frequencies. However, I did do a low cut further done the chain during the tone shaping process.
Is there a reason you didn't just do that EQ move at 24:05 on your drum bus/kick instead of the entire mix bus?

I love how you explain whatever you do on the plug-ins you use. Best mix breakdown on RUclips, no cap !!!

it has to do with the quality settings during rendering or export.

I see you didn't use any fabfilter plugins on this project... Is there a reason why ??? Especially the eq
Too many options. And I love all the ones I currently work with.
