I just started playing POE and im a total newbie. You are the only USEFUL POE creator. This is how you do beginners guide. Not those people who talked for hours about how cool and useful their builds are.
This looks cool! After the announcement of the new weapon qualities today, I am very much interested in league starting bleed bow glad. I know Jungroan has a run for that but it's always good to have a few comparison points.
Dot players rejoice, this is another shell! Build's cool and it plays nicely indeed. Btw, cold dot trickster/raider are really fast and safe options, especially with vaal caress + rampage in a trade environment. I never tried that tech but I will this league. Shield charge + vaal cold snap and you are good to go. Speaking of cold dot, you should really try katabasis, it has the most dot dps (basically vortex +creeping frost+ cold snap + vaal cold snap combined). It also works with extremely crappy gear that would otherwise have no value (like random +2 socketed melee gems on an axe or whatever). Im on ninja right now as the highest dps trickster. I have to say tho, while leveling is a bit awkward, because after acts you have more damage than a regular dot spell setup (instead of noticeable buff right away). Also you gotta do lab for the alt qual frost blades + get accuracy. Next league I was planning to do the speed tech until I get good upgrades for katabasis and do the switch. This and last league I played katabasis from act 4 or so and it wasnt optimal. Also damn, ggg really just indirectly buffed trickster. 30% more defences on garb and hubris is definitely more defences even if Grace gets nerfed. Plus melee buff. Frost blades melee trickster buff. Yep...I got baited. 😂

I'll check out your kabasis build, I was really struggling to get the damage there in PoB so I never tried it. I was trying to do kabasis and battlemage cry out vortex but they reworked call to arms and killed that idea
@@poopbutts To be fair, if you check it out, im pretty sure its half a mirror worth. Also I uploaded the character very late, you cant see a history of it which bums me rly hard. However, when I leaguestarted it, I had a random 11c 2hsword 6l and beat feared with it. It had ele dmg with attacks, +2 to melee skills, dot multi and crafted cold multi. This is the main damage source that scales it. I got like 3 mil pob if im not mistaken ( + cold snap with bonechill on it ) and when I got the cane I had 5 mil, something like that. Also my tree used to be near inveterate, It pretty much looked like half mage half regular melee frostblades, I picked multishot for mastery, acuity node for accuracy, herbalism, flash freeze, one with nature ( all frost blades users go there it's a pretty packed area). And then went up for cold dot nodes and other goodies. As for a run to quest eater/exarch, I think I had around 900k-1 mil dmg. It's a bit more damage early on compared to a regular spell dot build, but its 2 abilities instead of 3-4 to put all the damage down. It's nothing impressive early, especially on trickster where you are looking to sacrifice damage for defence, but 900k-1mil consistent damage early is pretty good I would say. But it shines later on where you get a cluster setup ( doesnt have to be the gg one, the gg one is actually pretty bad early, damage is not scaled corectly).
@@GE_Photon_Lord around 1mil for eater exarch is pretty good for cold DoT so that does sound promising But yeah the cold DoT button issue is so real, 2 is pretty reasonable.
@@poopbutts Yeah, the skill got buffed by 20% this league and it feels nice, even on release last league it was still melting content. Cold dot always had this issue of going faceplant into mobs with vortex to apply the damage, then casting a poopy creeping frost projectile, then cold snap for frenzies. When I look back to it, it's actually horrible. Plus that awkward hand intensive rotation ( which was also inconsistent ). Now I press frost blades once from range and with extra strikes you clear a bunch of mobs in front and even behind ( you kinda just even stop aiming with extra strikes it feels pseudo automated ). Then occasional cold snap to get frenzies and for some tough rares. But yeah, it's legit the best iteration of cold dot we ever had. For the record, I've seen you play wintertide before. I did too in kalandra and was a blast with occultist pops. However, that skill doesnt scale as hard as normal dot stacking or this new version of frost blades. And it costs a lot of points on the tree too. I wish they would rework it or give hiero a brand identity ( because his brand node is completely uselles for wintertide, I only care about activation frequency right after I place the brands, not after 75% of the duration, because by then I reach max stages ).

@@Lonzo1112 it is super fun once you get some levels and quality on tornado. It plays kind of like cold DoT but instead of a DoT it is just a giant ass tornado. Similar damage to generic spell DoT as well. Your max DPS will bottom out sooner because of that but your early league damage will be decent and bossing will be super safe Tomorrow I think a wintertide brand raider and trickster (I did a run for each)
