    Currently they sell new ones, just like the old ones in your video... The clutch gap in the box clicks

      Unfortunately I did not have the time to do a full video on it. There are also many similar videos on YT already.

    Hi. I have got these strange rattling sound when depressing the clutch all the way down and goes away when I lift the foot up. Does it sound like flywheel issue to you?

    • @thanos7360
      @thanos7360 Год назад +2

      Yes it is the flywhell it has play I had the same problem and fix it with flywhell replace

      it’s actually a bolt from the clutch. Or the pressure plate. But you usually change the flywheel + the clutch kit when you do this job

      Yes, mine did the same, and it was the flywheel

    Hi, what do you think about the change from dual mass to single mass?

    • @Nick41622
      @Nick41622 Год назад

      I wouldn't do it. You risk breaking the crankshaft at idle.

    • @nvl2691

      Not if you switch to a sprung clutch.

    • @Nick41622

      @@nvl2691 Most DMF set ups still have springs in the clutch, so it will make no differences.

      Most solid flywheel kits include a dampened disc. How many cars pre-1995 or so have you driven? Guaranteed all of them had solid flywheels with dampened discs. I've switched to a solid flywheel kit in the good ol' E36 and for a daily driver the difference is very subtle. On the other hand, a lightened flywheel with a solid or "puck"-style disc is going to have extremely harsh engagement and will probably squeak the tires from a dead stop. Obviously, those aren't intended for street applications.

    so what is your verdict 😅

      Rotational play was OK, the main concern was the wobble due to central bearing wear. There was noticeable improvement in sound and clutch engagement after replacing the whole assembly (flywheel and clutch). I think the flywheel would still be usable for another ~50.000 km.
