- One year after making Kakatiya PratapRudra a tribute, Malik Kafur leads Alauddin Khilji's forces towards south India where Hoysala Veera Ballala III accepts to be a tributary but Kafur fails to make Pandya Princes tributary. He resorts to plundering before being ousted by Veteran Pandya General Vikrama Pandya.

Why on earth are the dates in some Islamic calendar? Use the standard Gregorian calendar or Indian calendar
Gregorian calendar has got lot of issues. We are referring to primary sources so Islamic calendar will be used much in this series.
@@gandaberunda6267 What about a counter of days from when the expedition left Delhi? In such videos, the viewer does not get the passage of time when army is moving from one place to other. A counter months or days will help viewer know like how much time Kafur spent in each kingdom and place

This is not fully correct. Malik Kafur took the younger Pandiya hostage and laid a siege to Madurai fort for months. A stalemate happened. He then made a deal with the elder Pandiya inside the fort. According to that, he got gold coins in large quantity, grains from inside the fort and elephants. He then returned to Delhi with all the loot.

no its been proven that Vikrama Pandiya defeated the kilji army when they entered rameshwaram. the kiljis incaded all south states except Pandiya even though they pushed into Pandiya territory through raids it wouldn't have made sense for them to retreat instead of annex especially not a hasty retreat like the one they did. this fact is proven because after that day the Vikrama Pandiya became the king of the Pandiyas even though he was not in the position to be throned him defeating the kiljis would've been the only reason why the Pandiyas would've throned a non royal that too a retired general also this would explain the hasty retreat done by the kiljis. moreover it is written in kilji records that a Pandiyan general did defeat the kiljis deep in Tamil Nadu this general was most likely Vikrama Pandiya.
