Anyone who seriously thinks that the fact anti-Semitism has suddenly become a big issue in the Labour Party has nothing to do with the fact that Jeremy Corbyn is a strong advocate and campaigner for justice for the Palestinian people, is badly mistaken. I'm not suggesting there are no anti-Semitic members of the Labour Party, maybe there are but I consider it very sad that people would smear a man of great integrity who has spent his life supporting peace and justice and opposing hate and racism to support a country that consistently violates international law and oppresses a whole group of people.

I agree that Sharon is a war criminal. But do you remember what
happened after the Sabra and Shatila massacres ?
250,000 Israelis came out to demonstrate against their own government.
When do you see Palestininas demonstarte against the PLO,PA, Fatah or Hamas ?
They never demonstrate because they'd be beaten or killed. All Palestinian
parties are dictatorial. Arafat ruled as a dictator for 40yrs and stole $3 billion. There is no democracy in Muslim countries only Islamofascism and totalitarianism.

@@jamey55lee , Corbyn does back Hamas, I'll try and find the clip on RUclips for you where he jokes about how welcome they made him and how they managed to whip up a good meal despite the blockade. He thinks they're great guys. Oh yes , that's anti-democratic Hamas that beat-up any critics

Corbyn also idolises Yaser Arafat : that dictator of 40yrs who stole $3billion from the people. Corbyn is a nice guy but incredibly naive and ill-informed.

What is the evidence supporting Ali's claim that after the second intifada Israeli embassies were instructed to accuse all critics of Israel of anti-Semitism? And why did the Israeli government need to wait until the second intifada started before issuing this instruction? After all, there were plenty of Israel critics before the year 2000.

Tariq, this tranche of Labour MPs who were against Corbyn, found themselves vindicated after the disastrous election defeat in 2020. What I do not like about Israel specifically is its dismal treatment of the survivors of the Holocaust. Let us remember that most of these survivors were not only children at the time, and that their precious survival under the most terrible of conditions, is a stamp of moral authority for the state of Israel that can never be destroyed.

To say socialism has never had a problem with antisemitism is so ridiculous. (A socialist speaking here). An, of course, anti-Zionism can be used and is used as a mask by antisemites. "No philosophical basis for antisemitism in Islam" - don't make me laugh. (By the way, Jesus was 0a Jew as were all the apostles and most Christians in the first three centuries). Even if there wasn't or isn't any such basis in Islam it is nevertheless very widespread. To say otherwise it just plain daft.
