Yo that intro sequence with the harmonies and multiple arms, is the hardest guitar related channel intro i've ever seen

  • @doutordrive

The difference is in the playability and the tuning stability of the guitar and that´s it! The rest is just personal preference

A is the expensive one, I believe. But both guitars sound almost identical to me. Great video, I love blind tests, thank you, Justin!

little correction you said in guitar A that the neck pickup (dimarzio air norton) was a single coil, when it is in fact a humbucker similar to the seymour duncan hot rails pickups

  • @BlazonStone

I honestly dont care about "sound" when it comes to different guitars.
I play or record with any guitar with humbucker for metal, its all about setup for me haha

same I want the RG guitar, I ahvent played guitar in a while and I was thinking of getting this one over the premium, because I can get 2 guitars and still save money over it and whats the point, I am thinking swapping the same premium pickups in white and there you go.

I saw some really good reviews on the Ibanez RG470, and I might go for that one. I'm still a beginner, but have messed around with a few guitars for several years. This year I really want to get better and have a decent guitar. That's why I'm looking more to mid-range guitars. Some of my friends advise not to buy the RG470 they think it's too expensive. They say I should buy a cheaper one, for example GR121, and upgrade some parts like pickups and tuners. But if I look up different pickups they're expensive too and then I think might be better off with the RG470 that's €555 in Belgium. A reviewer advised me not to get a floating bridge and locking tremolo guitar since I'm a "beginner". But I thought maybe it's just a matter of learning how to tune those guitars? I have patience haha so that might help. Any thoughts?
I also wonder how often you need to tune the springs? Is it like almost every week or either a few times a year? I would use the guitar almost every day. Or should I go for the GR330 which is €322? It seems to be a big difference in quality though with the RG470. Or am I wrong?

Interesting. I almost prefer the pickup sound from the first one. I would probably have to play them myself to tell the difference! Ibanez makes amazing guitars in all ranges....
True story however I was looking for a new shred guitar and almost pulled the trigger on the Axe design Lab similar to this one! before I did however, I picked up a similarly priced Jackson Soloist American SL3 and ended up taking the Jackson, hands down. Dude have you ever thought about doing a shootout between an American Jackson and an Axe Lab? That would be SICK! Great video, love to hear these shootouts!

Does the floyd on the $500. Model keep tune? I have only had the floyd special on Jackson guitars & Westone. Growing up I had a Westone Spectrum LX (198MBK) until our house was stolen & I lost everything! (22 guitars, 5 amps, 10 pedals, one of the 1st five Steinway & Sons pianos ever made) the Westone spectrum lx had a bendmaster tremelow similar to the vibrato/tremelow on. A Epiphone S-600. These days, I struggle to find a guitar that holds tune. Exactly what Ibanez is that $500.00 model????

Videos like these are consistently proving that having a more expensive guitar is more about how it feels rather than how it sounds. Both guitars sound identical to me.

Something to keep in mind is just bc it sounds the same, the wave files would differ and there in lies the difference.
Also who cares about the guitar cost, it's literally the pickup that matters.

Except you're listing to through phone speakers or computer speakers. A 2k guitar is going to sound better period! I've got a $1300 Schecter C-1 hellraiser and a $300 Dean. The Schecter blows it out of the water in every single way

    • @IAmNotARobotPinkySwear
      @IAmNotARobotPinkySwear 9 месяцев назад +1

@@redbloodedamerican2346 I disagree. If you're doing Direct In, you can just model it sound like whatever you want, sure it'll be easier to achieve the sound w/ a "pricier" guitar (read: pickups, not the guitar lol) but a more pricier guitar doesn't necesserily mean it'll sound better automatically.
The composition of the wood also plays a huge part in tone, but once again, you can EQ the signal to your heart's desire.

@@IAmNotARobotPinkySwear Then why don't professionals play on stage with 100 dollar guitars and save their money? Because more expensive pickups ect sound better! You can't make anything sound "any way you want". You can try. But it's not happening. Show me a cheap guitar is going to sound better than an expensive one. You can't.
