    I really like the weathered mortar effect from the sand. Definitely pinching that idea.

      Glad it was useful. I think with slightly wider mortar lines it would be more effective too.

    Great and unique build! for making the ground-grass-tracks a little more connected, you should press and imprint the tracks a little when the ground is wet, push the grass into it as the tracks run over it and maybe add some mud that reveals because of the tank's weight.

    One of the most unique and creative builds I've ever seen, the brick building is amazing The sanding of the model panels in between rivets must have been very difficult. As these 3D kits are becoming more available this video will definitely come in handy.

    Like a lot of other commenters I really like the more unusual subjects like the interwar tanks. I personally would have been more annoyed at that glitch on the underside than you but since you were doing a vignette anyway, it could easily be hidden with mud or whatever.
    A vignette was a perfect choice to show off this little gem. It looks just like it's been brought in from some trials and is waiting to be washed... ot scrapped.

      Thanks Mark. I'd definitely like to investigate more subjects along these lines in the future.

    This thing just screams Warhammer in its design.
    Was very neat to see, I'm too much a fan of fiddly plastic bits to ever make such a kit, bur I enjoyed watching it.

    Thanks, MN...another treat for us viewers. Great to see an unusual interwar tank on YT....the whole process was well paced and your attention to the backdrop something to emulate. The 3D printed tank may only have a few parts but it certainly built up to a pretty authentic looking model. See you on the next one in due course.

    **Fabulous work, this "easy assembly kit" allows to focus on the paint and weathering, and the result is awesome (as the subject is rare!).*

    Gosh that's a beautiful diorama.
    I love those subjects, but they are so expensive, and hard to get.

    • @ModelNerd
      @ModelNerd  Год назад

      Thanks Bill. Yes, the price is quite high on them unfortunately. And quite uniform, so simple models cost the same as more complex ones with more parts.

    I love those interwar tank designs and you've done a great job with this one, I'm really liking the way the paint job turned out. My only criticism is that you don't seem to have got much mud in the mud channels themselves, those slots in the upper hull sides are there to let mud fall away from the underside of the tracks rather than becoming compacted around the track return rollers (or in some designs simple metal skids rather than rollers) so while you have the mud running down the sides of the tank, there isn't much mud in the place it is actually coming from. That's a minor nitpick though and the finished diorama looks fantastic.

      Thank you for watching, and I appreciate your feedback. Yes, mud is something I need to work on more I think.

    nice kit, it needs a crewman or two for extra interest i think. some "chaps" in the interwar period uniforms.

    I build a lot of 3d printed sci fi weapons, those pesky layer lines, bane of my life, halford's hi build primer works ok, but it might of washed out the details 😉👍
