@NomTheDom its tough to say. Cause an audiophile or a wiskey person is never gonna admit it's placebo even if it is (thats what makes it a placebo) but someone who hasn't spent their time training their ear/tastebuds wouldn't ever have the potential perspective to ever validate the claim that its placebo. So it's a catch 22. You would need to do some sorta controlled test
@@NomTheDomExcept that he is wrong. Try it yourself. You can smell next to nothing out of a rocks glass. A Glencairn allows the alcohol vapors to concentrate and escape the glass through a smaller area, which makes it way easier to pick up on the smells of whiskey. Anyone claiming it's a placebo effect either has never tried it before or doesn't have the experience to smell anything other than rubbing alcohol.

Starts making Capri sun bags for whiskey
Someone skipped chemistry class.
But like with audiophiles, it's 99% placebo. Which isn't a criticism, whatever makes a thing more enjoyable.
Wow that's an incredibly bold claim to make. I have a feeling you're not an audiophile or a whiskey person...

Oh and the last shot of a bottle is always hella different tasting.
Good vid
Shots left overnight of whiskey are pretty awful. I wonder how much Alcohol it loses, I mostly just notice the taste, like it had a lot of sediment
Yeaaah...if i start getting snobby about whiskey...shoot me
If maximizing your enjoyment = snobby for you, then you're just losing out. Have fun shooting that Jack Daniels, I guess.
