How to make an EASY balloon drop!

What type of string did you use?

I just used a cotton twine, but any string or yarn should work.

We made one end of the string long enough so that we could reach it from the floor.

I'd want to use less visible tape than bright blue painters tape. Makes it look a bit messy.

I understand. Our priority was to not damage the paint on the ceiling which is why we used painter's tape. It is also strong enough to hold up the balloons and table cloth, whereas scotch tape is not. Stronger, clear tapes are strong enough to hold up the balloons but can remove the paint when pulled away.
