How to CONNECT a PC Computer to Multiple HD Televisions

- Hi, this video shows you how to connect up a Windows 10 PC to all the TVs in the house using a HDMI splitter. I show a diagram explaining the setup and then show my actual setup so hopefully it will make sense.
This setup is good if you want to do your work on one PC and play a movie for the children on a TV in another room.
I have also connected up a HDMI switch before the HDMI Splitter to have the option to show/play the Xbox One S on all the Televisions as well within the range of the gaming controller.
Netflix, Now TV, RUclips and all the online catch up providers all seem to work much better on the computer rather than using Apps so this setup is ideal as it allows you to use the computer to watch whatever you want on any TV that is connected to the HDMI splitter. Even if you don't have HDMI cables installed in your property you can run the HDMI signal down 2 cat5e or cat6 cables using HDMI over Ethernet adapters.
Many thanks Vince Хобби
Great video. I've been searching for something like this as I'm wanting to go down this road for my own setup. Thumbs up!
Nice video, I set up a system like this a few years ago using Windows Vista.with an XFI 6870 graphics which had 6 video outputs. By using a graphics card with more outputs, You will be able to then run up to 6 separate extended desktops. I run three separate desktops from the one graphics card, Desktop 1. to the PC, desktop 2. to the living room HDTV & a 3rd independent extended desktop to my bedroom TV. I was successfully using three of the 6 outputs with 3 completely independent extended desktop screens & simply used a few pairs of bluetooth keyboard & mouse to control the PC from different rooms.

Thanks, I've been looking for this for a while. Never came to my mind to split the output on the second monitor out to all the TVs.
Hi, great video.
What graphics card are you using with this? Thanks
did anyone else catch Vinces face reflected on one of the TVs?
but this helped a lot, thanks
If you have an existing ethernet setup, you can use female usb to male rj45 adapters and have usb keyboard+trackpad in each room to control the main PC (or use long usb extension cables)
Thanks for the vid Vince :)
Thanks for this. I was actually experimenting with this a couple of days ago and it works fine but what would be good is if you could have 2 mouse pointers on the one PC so I could do work on one screen with one mouse/keyboard and then on the extended screen another user could use the mouse independently from the other mouse but unfortunately I can't find any software/workarounds that exists. It is not a major problem with the mouse because if the mouse pointer disappears from my screen I know it is being used in a different room on a different screen but the typing can cause problems!!! If you or anyone reading this knows if it is possible to get 2 mouse pointers working please share.
Many thanks Vince.
a female to a male what???? please explain without the male to females pretty sure this is not taught in school. For your type of terminology can you put it in layman terms?
Hi Vince, firstly just want to say having just moved into a new house I find all your videos helpful and informative!
Will this one work over HomePlug network of ethernet cabling?
Hi, I haven't tried it but I am almost certain that HDMI over Ethernet will not work over the powerlines (Homeplug) because I think all the HDMI adaptors do it push the signal down all the different wires on the 2 x cat5e cables (16 wires) so as far as I know it isn't actually using any Ethernet signal it is just using the wires in the cat5e/6 cable to connect tot he HDMI wires.
Thanks Vince
Just done a bit of research and although they are very expensive. approx. £120+ it looks like you can now get HDMI that actually works on the Ethernet signal so in theory it should work over any Ethernet even powerlines (homeplugs) but it would definitely be worth doing further research before spending that much.
This is the set up I have on my boat. V berth, dinette, salon, and flybridge all have tvs that all show what ever is on my laptop.
Hi Vince, your video is very educative. I wish I could connect more than 4 TVs to the same pc and have several videos played from on the same pc and having each video directed specifically to a particular tv at a time. Meaning you'll have all the TVs showing different videos from the pc at a time. If you have been able to do that, kindly share with me. For example have TVs A, B, C, D, E, & F all connected to one pc through a splitter and playing several videos from the pc, let's say using VLC, you direct video 1 to Tv A, video 2 to Tv B, video 3 to Tv C etc in that order.
Any progress?
Very good video, well explained and clear. Thanks

great video.. Really helped me out at my office but.... a little more expensive device but probably cheaper in the long run.... HDMI Matrix 2x4 3x4 4x4... does 4 inputs to 4 outputs.. and you can select what input goes to what output.
it does not work for me

I just have ONE PC and TWO TV, all i need is a HDMI switch ,RIGHT?
Hi!
Is this hdmi splitter ( or these ) automatic switches that do not require a button press to switch?
Nice innovation !
Cool !
I like it !
Is it more cpu or gpu demanding to have both screens, currently i have a tv conecvted via vga to my laptop and only use the tv but i want to have both for some programs to show on the laptop. Would it affect the performance?... I dont want to demand too much from the "video card"
Great Work.... Thanks for all information

I need help can I connect a TV and a monitor to a computer in the same time please help
How do I connect two Vizio tvs to my desktop where it will show different screens? I need this for my new job. I need to enter info one one tv and be able to look up info on the other tv.
So Vince, if I want to connect three tvs to a laptop which only has one hdmi slot do I need a htmi switch or hdmi splitter? to extend my laptop to these tvs.
Hello can you tell me list of devices that used and steps to do it. i want to work this setup up to 300m distance please send how it can works on this distance
Question for you. The white HDMI cables that are in the splitter under the stairs, how are you running those white HDMI cables to the TVs? Where are the physical runs?
This is exactly what I am looking for... except for my mac laptop :( thanks for sharing though
If you just extend a laptop computer screen to a second monitor with no speakers, can you still hear the sound that’s from stuff playing on the second screen?
This is going to sound like sarcasm, but it's mos def not. I am standing in a pile of unused wires and electronics (like TVs, mics, and dj stuff) that I've been gathering for the last few days and trying to figure out how to make a syudio/podcast/gaming room. But I have only found crappy, and unrealistic answers to my main and only remaining question... Can you extend a desktop with a cat5 cable or does it HAVE to be HDMI? I appreciate the knowledge!
Hi, I am looking for some help, what I would like is to have a wireless dual monitors for my office that can be occasionally used as a smart tv if need be on extended displays, this sounds like its impossible, but I thought I would check
I just got the Oculus Rift which uses an HDMI slot on my laptop. Can I use a splitter so that it goes to the Rift and a TV?
yes
oh I got a splitter, connected it up and tried to set it up on my pc. I followed the instructions to try and extend the display but it doesn't change. Can this work on any TV?
there is device called hdmi matrix/ multiiplexer that takes multiple input sources and distributes to multiple tvs/monitor
do you need a wireless adapter for this setup?
So to be more specific when you extend screens can you move mouse through all 4 screens or just the two?, so can you move pages from any screen onto any other screen with the mouse?.

Hey how can I use my Xbox one or PS4 with an old pc monitor I've tried an HDMI to VGA lead but it doesn't work. Thank you
Hi, those HDMI to VGA leads don't work as you mentioned because the HDMI is digital and the VGA is analogue. You can get converters but they just show the picture and no sound so you may have problems getting the sound out of the Xbox One.
super helpful
did you run hdmi cables through walls or ??? I would have to drill hole in wall or run down a hallway
Hi vince
I like the whole concept
But is there anyway of doing this without all the cables and wires?
I’m trying to reduce the wires and cables aka clutter as much as I can (streamline)
I wanted to ask you if there is Any way to Do what you have done in your video Wirelessly? or using screen mirroring or a visual and audio sender / reciver unit?
Your advice would be appreciated or anyone that reads this who could help point me in the right direction
I just want my audio and visual to been on all the TVs and sounds systems around my home
I am in the same boat as you. The best thing i have found so far is using a router and proview 6 to communicate to the tvs without cables.
We can use Chromecast on TV and use the Cast option to cast the entire Desktop
🧤
wow that is cool, wish my brain could get it been up for 24 hrs studying pc. I think I found the best i9 nividia pc. now I want to hook up two displays but dam you rock it. all have to sleep to get some brain power😵💫
Can i connect one in motherboard that will lead to monitor and one from gpu that will lead to tv ??
Hey I have been having troubles where my pc doesn’t normally connect to my tv but when it does it only works until I turn it off and then won’t work again
OMG this worked
What is everything called to hook it all up to 3 different tvs so i can buy every product

Hi Vince, I have a Smart TV in my living room that I use as my monitor which is now connected directly to my PC, which is right next to that Smart TV. But now I would like to also connect my other TV which is in my bedroom about 30 ft -35 ft away from that same PC in the living room. Plus I would need a wireless mouse/keyboard that could operate my bedroom TV at the distance of 30 ft because my router is next to the Smart TV. I'd also like to connect my PS 4 which is located next to my PC & Smart TV as well. If you can, I would like to know the best way for me to connect these 2 TVs & the PS 4 and which items I would need to purchase. Thank You, Dave
thank a bunch
For nerds only or is this just normal nowadays? :-) connect another input switch to a serverrack with five computers and a IR range extender in all the rooms to finish the job.
🐒
Nice, one question, is there a way where each tv is displaying something difderent? For example one tv is pc, the other is Netflix and others are different.
VANGmagg I would think yes as you would just set it up as a multi monitor system and continue the extend display function but not having experienced more than two monitors for my pc I am unsure how windows 10 handles multi monitor setups.
Did you ever find an answer to this question? I need to setup to 55" 4K TVs side by side to one laptop, as if running dual monitors.
Nice video! I like it
Only one problem for your set-up: to switch to Xbox or PC or whatever, you always need to come back to the one room, and for streaming content to the living room you always need to go have the person on the PC change the content.
It ain't a problem for him because he is the one doing all the admin!
I just want my Xbox and pc able to hook up to my monitor and tv. How can I do that?
I recommend a small tv for your first monitor just Incas it’s drops you won’t be breaking a 300 $ monitor
i have my laptop behind a tv using tv as monitor through hdmi and wanting to plug dvi monitor into tv and use the dvi monitor aswell through tv bcuz i dont have dvi plug in my laptop

Bro we did same with 6 tv.... but two 4 k tv didn't get signal sometimes it works....four 1080 tv works fine .....and splitter is 4 k supporting .... how can we run all tv without interruption bro
Vince, wondering if you may be able to lend some knowledge in our situation. We have two smart tv monitors in our church sanctuary. Prior to purchasing these, we ran one projector from our laptop for song lyrics, announcements, etc. We would like to do away with the projector and use only the two smart TVs as monitors. We would like to do this wireless if at all possible. Any ideas or thoughts? TIA!
Hi, if the laptop is running Windows 10 you may be able to use screen mirroring on the smart TV's, you can project the laptop screen onto the TV if both the laptop and TV support it. If not you could look into Google Chromecast. Lastly you could look into wireless HDMI (if your laptop has a HDMI port) but this one is very expensive although it has very little delay which is great. The range on all of these options is not very good so you may have to run a long HDMI cable or VGA etc. depending on your equipment. Running a cable is always the best result.
Thanks, Vince :-)
Thanks Vince! We have been trying with Chromecast, but continue to encounter range issues as our sanctuary is quite large. We have purchased signal boosters, but are still having issues with the reliability. We may have to go with the cable after all...I am all for reliability especially to run a seamless performance. Thank you for allowing me to pick your brain!
Thanks man
Thanks mam
thx so muchhhchhch
this man has many tvs
God damn you have alot of Tv’s.
Dudeeeee you the man :)
Hey Vince I love you man!
Does it work on BD player's?
what shocking is no one has a tutorial with a pc connect with an ethernet setup through a wifi router to connect to multiple TVs? Everyone keeps bring up wireless adapters, laptop, and smartphones. A laptop, smartphone, and tablet can connect to miracast, anyone knows a technique with an ethernet connection to the router with a router with wifi that is connected to all tv in my house. Question is do I need a wireless adapter to be able to use any of the project features on windows 10?
what cable must you connect that tv to the desktop?
Hdmi
how do you do this same setup wirelessy?
I have the same question. Did u ever find a way to do it?
The only way I have found to plausibly do it is to have a PC and chrome cast the desktop to the other display. But this will only work to one other monitor or tv
As far as I know there is no way to witlessly push video from one PC to multiple devices
I suspect you will also run into audio/video sync issues
But let me know if you find a way to do it because this is exactly what I’m trying to do as wel
way too many screens in your house!
If I have a computer 💻 I could connect it with the TV'S 📺i have in the living room
Hi there.
1. Do you have any issues with lag on those screens.
2. Can you play games with wireless controllers and wireless keyboards / mice via your pc without lag?
3. If you can connect pc control devices, how do you extend the Bluetooth range of these or are there other ways?
how long are your hdmi leads lol how do you not have wires hanging out everywhere lol
Billy Taylor he must have them run through the walls. Must’ve put a lot of effort into running all those cords.
vince have 5 TV´s......i have 2 and it is the cheap one 720p
what is this called
Hope you have more than one

Your great 😯🤔😀
why dose only one of my hdmi work on my pc
So many cables to route.
he asked the most important question. Why would u want to do this?

Charge your Galaxy Book

Just like a phone or tablet, your Galaxy Book needs to be charged to keep its battery going. Use the included charger to give it a charge whenever it needs some juice. We also have some tips to help extend battery life, so it will last and last.
Information provided applies to Galaxy Book models sold in Canada. Use only Samsung-approved chargers, batteries, and cables. Samsung accessories are designed to help maximize battery life. Using other accessories may invalidate your warranty and/or cause damage to your Galaxy Book.
Charge the battery
What kind of charger does your Galaxy Book use? The regular Galaxy Book, the Galaxy Book2, the Galaxy Book S, and the Galaxy Book Flex all use a Samsung USB-C charger. They also all support fast charging! However, the Galaxy Book S comes with a 25 W charger instead of 15 W.

To charge your device, connect the charger's USB cable to the power adapter. Insert the cable into the Galaxy Book's charging port. Next, plug the adapter into a wall socket. After the battery is fully charged, the Power LED will change color. Disconnect your Galaxy Book from the charger.
Help prolong your Galaxy Book's battery
There are a couple things you can do to help prolong your Galaxy Book's battery life:
Decrease the screen's brightness.
Close any unnecessary or unused apps.
Turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi if they are not being used.
When you are not using your Galaxy Book, enable Sleep mode by pressing the Power key.
Turn on Battery saver mode. Select the Battery icon in the taskbar and then select the switch to activate "Battery saver mode".
The Battery life extender feature automatically stops your Galaxy Book from charging past 85%. This helps prolong the overall battery life of the device. However, you can disable Battery life extender if you want to charge the Galaxy Book to 100%.
Battery charging tips and precautions
Here are some things to take into consideration when it comes to charging your Galaxy Book:
The Galaxy Book can be used while it is charging but it will take longer to fully charge.
Using a power source other than the adapter, such as a computer, may result in a slower charge.
If the battery is not charging properly, take your Galaxy Book and charger to the nearest Samsung Service Center for inspection.
If the battery is completely drained, the Galaxy Book cannot be turned on immediately after connecting the charger. Let the battery charge for a few minutes before attempting to turn on your Galaxy Book.
While charging, the Galaxy Book and the charger may become hot. This is normal and should not affect the Galaxy Book's lifespan or performance. If the battery gets too hot, it may stop charging.
