An account of an entire journey undertaken in 12703 Howrah Secunderabad Falaknuma Express. This was undertaken in mid August in the peak of monsoon which is evident from the vibrant green surroundings and rivers filled with water up to the brim across the entire journey.
Major crossings include Steel Express at Kharagpur outer, Thiruvananthapuram Shalimar Express, Puri Howrah Shatabdi, SSPN Howrah Express, Yesvantpur Duronto, Falaknuma Express on the Brahmani Bridge, Bhubaneshwar Rajdhani, Vishakha Express and the Amravathi Express among others.
A 7:25 am departure from Howrah (led by a red Santragachi WAP-4) means one gets to see the entire Howrah Berhampur stretch in daylight which is a delight for any nature lover. There are as many as 7-8 major rivers that cut our way as we move south past the lush green Eastern Ghats through coastal Odisha. One can spot Rivers Damodar, Rupnarain, Suvarnarekha, Brahmani, Mahanadi and Kathajodi among other smaller ones.
After a timely departure from Howrah, we mode steadily past Santragachi (where Vikramjeet Maitra can be seen in a red shirt), past its locomotive shed holding the red hot stallions (WAP-4s) towrads Kharagpur. We skip Mecheda and Panskura at sedate pace and meet the legendary Steel Express at Kharagpur outer with a WAM-4 from TATA itself.
The Kharagpur Jajpur stretch is negotiated well at MPS with us moving at 110 kmph. Skips of Basta, Rupsa and Soro happen enroute. The Eastern Ghats come real close to us at Dhanamandal, post Jajpur, and soon we cross the Bhubaneshwar Rajdhani towards New Delhi.
Cuttack and Bhubaneshwar later, we experience a spell of heavy rain at Khurda Road. A 20 mins technical halt at Khurda enables us to enjoy the rain and soak up the atmosphere. Post Khurda, we cruise through the southern parts of Odisha, past the gigantic Chilka ta Khallikot and come across even larger rainfall while entering Berhampur some 20 mins late.
Please stay tuned for PART 2 for the run till Secunderabad through the Deccan Plateau led by twin Kazipet Diesels.

Beautiful Compilation. Train + Rain= Best Combo. Btw which camera do you use??
Hey thanks a lot for your kind words! Train + Rain is unbeatable...i used Canon SX-620 for this!
Just beautiful.
Have seen the video many times but commenting for the first time. A blast from the past as a lot has changed in that area in terms of the trains there. Steel Express in ICF with Wammie.
A site which is history now. In fact WAM-4 is now counting its days as they will go off the tracks.
Rain shot in Khurda Road was the cherry on the cake. Nature and iron snake together.
Loved the video and salute the hard work.

pramit mitra i like your all videos very much.i am sure that one day you will become a good film director like S.S.Rajamouli
thank you so so much...i'm realy glad hearing this! keep watching!
Pramit Mitra, is falaknuma express the best train to travel to Hyderabad from Kolkata? Or there are better trains available?
In my opinion the best. There are very few other options. East Coast is worst. There is one AC weekly express on Wednesday. That is good towards Secunderabad.
@@pramitronria thanks for the info!
visakhapatnam to H.Nizammuddin in samta express plz
Looks dangerous while u filmed btw great video
thanks a lot..yeah its risky in high speed but i ensure safety... :)
Pramit Mitra good coz, when the train was in speed it looked like you would fall
i was well inside...was using my hands only outside to shoot!
Falaknuma express was late at Brahmapur as it was scheduled to arrive at 2pm but arrived 4:50pm.
Falaknuma's time at Berhampur is 4:25 PM.

I AM SHUVOJIT BANIK.Profile photo and Name changed.
pramit mitra where do u live
Kolkata, what about you?
Pramit Mitra i am from Bhilai.
Pramit Mitra dude I am having a good idea.Which will make you more popular in RUclips. make a video from Durg to puri in sainagarshirdi puri express. I am hundred percent sure that you will become a good film director like S.S.Rajamouli
Pramit Mitra dude u will also see rhythmic track sound between Rayagada- bobili line.Whenever i went to vizag i use to heard that melodious sound.
hi...did this section recently. videos coming up soon! stay tuned!
not at all worth watching, not a 20 second stretch of a scene. way below of your standard. looks like pehlaj nehalani made severe cuts
Debabrata Ghosh well there's no A-rated scenes in my video...so pehlaj context can't come 😂
And the reason I kept so many cuts was to show maximum scenes as possible...to bring down 10 hrs in 15 mins requires that....else you are left with the option of showing only a few scenes selectively which wouldn't do justice to this route. And in any case for longer uncut footage please check post Khurda Road.
Anyway thanks for watching...will keep your suggestions in mind next time! Keep watching!
Very bad video capturing.many details missing
Can you point out a few details which are missing?
