I did directly react on the german words on the bag. Here in Sweden the "bag full of flavour, flavour, flavour" of course is in english. Because of how much germans like their own language I'm quite surprised the whole chain isn't called BURGER KÖNIG in Germany. :D
Well, it might be :D but the young generation here uses so much english language, its like 60% german, 40% english. Iich meine, die älteren dudes sind bestimmt am struggeln, zu checken was wir labern, ist aber chillig so.

Well, for me it would still feel really weird to watch a Hollywood movie dubbed into my own language. Nobody in Sweden would watch such a movie. Original language - always - and with swedish text.
But you germans prefer german dubbing on movies with english as original language, right?
Correct me if I'm wrong - but doesn't that distance you from the rest of the world in a way? It's important to be able to handle the global language - english - in contact with the rest of the world. So - to serve EVERYTHING in german to germans would probably not be the winning recipe in the very end.
+supremefantastic you want us to put english on our fast food packaging? we use plenty of english words in marketing and such as it is, you need to draw the line somewhere. I do agree that we should move away from this dubbing culture. there are some really good dubs and voice actors, but they often don't compare to the original and meanings get lost etc.

Well, it's not really about what I personally want you to do. It's just an advice from me regarding that I think you have better chances as a nation and people to receive success on an international level if you can speak with people from other countries.
I know there's many successfull german companies (like Bosch, Siemens and the six big car producers) but it would still be easier for you if you did like we in Sweden and went more open regarding english.
I did visit Bavaria for 14 days last summer with car and in the northern parts (Berlin where I also stayed a while) it's no problem with english, I feel, but in the small towns in the south it feels like the time has stayed. It doesn't matter where you come in Sweden - everyone can speak english well here.
supremefantastic i dont think the language barrier is really a hurdle in regards to international success and I also believe that forcing it down the throats of all citizens, most of which wont need it for most of their lives, will be contraproductive.
Yet, I would like my fellow countryman to learn more foreign languages.
