2013 Kia Soul - Long-Term Conclusion

- Following revisions in the 2012 model year that brought a new 2.0-liter engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission we decided to give the Kia Soul another go in our Long-term fleet. Wrapping up 9-months with a red 2013 Soul here are our thoughts.

I have a 2013 soul and with over 108K miles on it no issues!!! I drive it from tx to colorado and all around the mountain roads.

Yea I'm at 125k miles no issues.
I've had 2 Soul's. Both the base model. I have enjoyed both of these cars. I bought my first one in 2013 and traded that for the 2019. I bought both cars new and I have had no problems at all. My only complaint with the 2013 was I didn't care for the gas mileage, it wasn't very good for a small car. The 2019 is definitely an improvement. Much better gas mileage, its a little bigger, more features and feels more powerful than the 2013. Still I would recommend the 2013 Soul for anyone looking for a used car. Just have it checked out before buying though, as you should with any used car.
I have owned my SOUL for almost 2 yrs and still love it. I have a bad back with deteriorating discs. My 10 yr old Mustang was killing me...stiff suspension and low seat height made it painful to drive as well as getting in and out. A friend recommended the Kia Soul. I had wanted a Toyota Tacoma, but liked the interior space of the Soul, PLUS it was MUCH cheaper. The drive height makes me feel like I am driving a small pickup. The handsfree Bluetooth phone is the only way to phone and drive. Got Molten Red and added a hood stripe and I was set!
My 2012 Kia Soul has 305,780 miles on it.

I have 2013 base 1.6 with a 6 speed manual. Drove from ohio to Ga. Filled up when left stopped in TN at 250 miles took 6.3 gallons. Ran 75 mph. About 40 mph. Not bad.
I have a 2012 Kia Soul with 151k miles and still going strong. I love it.

I got a 2010 with 321000km has never failed. Oil changes and regular maintenance.

My son bought my 2010 red Kia Soul and it now has over 100,000 miles on it. I bought a new 2017 when he bought mine. The man in my life now just bought a 2015 kia soul! Must be something good about them............
Bought a 2012 Kia Soul Plus 5 months ago with 65 thou miles on it what a great car it is loaded and this video review is right on....so far so good at 70 thou miles....Car just feels great to drive and the color stereo speaker lights bopping along to the music at night is a fun plus.....Thanks Kia !
Before buying any car from KIA you need to check out the engine problems online. Decide if you are willing to take the risk.

I have a 2013 Kia Soul I least brand new for five years and I went over the mileage and paid $13,000 and bought it after leasing it for 5 years paying $13,000 for it period is now 2023 I have 65000 miles on it I never had a problem with the car I prepaid for the maintenance during the lease I never used it never even got my free key fob I don't think I've ever had the carwash
The cargo space is a bit shallow and the black buttons in most Kia products tend to fade overtime, losing their glossy surfaces. Otherwise the Soul is a great urban car as mentioned by KBB.
David Halifax cargo space is shallow because it is a COMPACT car. You get lot of extra space by folding the rear seats. You want a compact in the city if you want to find a parking spot.

we have had our soul for over 5 years now, other than new tires oil changes an wipers have done nothing to her hitting 75,000 miles base 2013 model

Our 2013 Kia has peculiar, minor acceleration problem;
Sometimes it will hestitate, or bog when you try to gain
speed, like starting out on the Freeway. I'm guessing it
might be a fuel-saving feature. Does anyone else have
that issue?
Poor Micah, I knew it was a matter if time before he took in way to much NEW CAR smells. Haha. J/K. I was one to criticize this vehicle from Kia. I also did the same for the CUBE. But after pricing them and seeing the flexibility they have all around and value I'm a believer. So, Micah and Fellow car sniffing compadres carry on!

By the way I bought my Kia Soul because I work for es-3a car marketing company and keep a lot of money in my pocket working for them and so I repaid the favor and I bought my Kia at least the Kia the from Huntington Beach Kia I told the car dealership that I work for Kia and I told them I know the three presidents I told them I videotaped the three presidents every month. But that didn't stop them from trying to rip me off. And that and still impress the presidents. They must try to rip by everybody off that's their nature I even gave them the cards at the three presidents of Kia and my ES3 connection it still took all day to negotiate a lease

Wow, those who bought the '13 and crappin their pants now - the '14 blows away even the '13 model. I be buyin Souls since their FIRST model year in 2000 - mainly because I have tons of cash and chicks dig it. In this world of horror and terror, its all about chicks.
