Great review video and I completely agree with your assessment as well. I only use mine with .025" wire, so I won't have these issues. For heavier wire, I have a Primeweld 180 and a 285.
Great 'brief' review, if only, and barely limited to showing what it can do. This ArcCaptain is a highly diverse machine (I bought one myself). However, seeing that melted ground clamp really has my concerns up. I need to check this out myself on mine as I live in Tucson, AZ and the general, ambient heat here ALONE, is remarkable much less having an earth ground get hotter; which is incredibly concerning. But, it's nice to see that a 4AWG earth ground seems to be the right correction. I'll have to monitor mine and see if that occurs under the 60% duty cycle myself.
Absolutely awesome review so it seems like they need to upgrade their ground clamp and wire and the jumper from inside the machine out. Did you say you posted up a conversion chart in US Standard if you did can you send me a link to find it metric to me is a pain in the back side thank you once again that was one awesome review God bless brother
I think I added a few captions in video and I am not sure where I left my notepad with my information. I had to google conversions as I am not familiar with mm. I am glad you liked the video and the machine is working great still.
Appreciate your candid input, and we're all set to implement some positive changes!
You're so welcome!
That melted earth ground sure was unsettling... Has that been addressed?

Nice review and nice looking welds...
Thanks 👍I hardly MIG weld but they came out decent and a little practice shall make things better for sure.

great review
This machine works well with only that small issue of ground cable. I will be using the thicker cable on it for sure. Thanks for watching.
Great review, I have ordered one. I will have a dedicated 110v outlet for the smaller stuff. What amp breaker do you recommend for the 110? 20amps?
I am not sure what size breaker I have on 120v (15A?), I plug this machine into my 220v outlet that has a 50A.
It's a very nice setup
The only thing missing is an ARCCAPTAIN cart to house the plasma cutter and MIG Welder. I shall start the planning of a new cart.
@@cutweldngrind you will have it all set up perfectly when you get the cart done
👍😊
Thanks, now I must find something to break so I can weld it up and get more practice.
Was thinking of getting one until you pointed out the metric user guide... don't like the metric system..
I mentioned this on a written review and was something they were looking into. I tried adding notes on video to help out others. Thanks.
Do you know if it’s ac/dc?
