So wonderful to hear Alan speak about his path to the Catholic Church! Our family has followed his running and coaching career and were delighted when he joined the staff at Ave Maria.

Alan was a childhood friend and classmate of mine in Reston, VA. We played soccer and swam competively together from our elementary school days at Terraset Elementary. We all knew he ws destined to be great athletically. He was very fast even from a young age. I remember the day he broke that mile record in high school! So great to learn that he has jouryned to the Faith! God bless you brother!

    2 Corinthians 11:3 KJV Bible
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”

    Mark 7:7 KJV Bible
“Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
When people are born again, John 3:3, they are in Christ's church. People are not lead to churches that preach a false gospel. That includes catholicism.

Protestant assemblies are not considered to be churches strictly speaking, they are ecclesial bodies but not churches. This is because they broke with apostolic succession 500 years ago, and so do not have ordained priests nor bishops with the power to consecrate the Eucharist.
The Catholic Church teaches the gospel, but as with most things, there is always room for improvement, which is why the Church is continually developing more fully her teaching. For any just claims that Protestantism might have against the Church, the right thing to do would be to bring such just claims to the attention of the Church's pastors, not to leave and try to create some kind of new religion.
Unfortunately, your words are somewhat ironic, as Protestantism teaches something of a corrupted gospel message whereas Catholicism is more closely aligned to the true gospel message....
